Singer Lisa-Marie Presley has spoken for the first time about the break-up of her marriage to NICOLAS CAGE - admitting "a temper tantrum" led to the shock divorce just months after the couple had wed in Hawaii last year (02).
The singer tells American rock bible ROLLING STONE they split after attending a movie premiere together and getting into a row.
She's reportedly documented the split in a song called GONE on her debut album TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.
Lisa-Marie admits they should never have been man and wife in the first place, saying, "We're both so dramatic and dynamic that when it was good it was unbelievably good, and when it was bad it was just a f****** bloody nightmare for everybody. It was just Mr Toad's Wild Ride."
ELVIS' daughter is coy about the real meaning behind her song Gone, but admits it's about her split with Cage and the feelings she had when the movie star issued a press statement announcing the end of the marriage, explaining, "I'm not going to talk about the divorce. But I loved her."
Presley's Gone lyrics feature the lines, "And what's that I hear now, Daddy, you're blaming it all on me/Another she did you wrong and of course you had to leave/And the yes men will agree/You gave it everything," and she admits the person she wrote it about thought it was "a great song".
She reluctantly confesses of the lyrics, "It wasn't very nice," but, "it's accurate on all fronts."
