Lionel Richie and Kenny Rogers are to reunite for a special televised concert.

The pair, who enjoyed chart success with hit ballad LADY 25 years ago (1980), will tape an episode of CMT CROSSROADS in Nashville, Tennessee, for cable music channel Country Music Television.

Richie wrote Lady, which was a hit for Rogers and the soul star later went on to produce other Rogers hits, including I DON'T NEED YOU and THROUGH THE YEARS.

The pair only teamed up on record once when they both took part in all-star 1985 charity tune WE ARE THE WORLD.
