Linkin Park have finally revealed a video for their single 'One More Light', and as fans would expect, it's an emotional tribute to the band's late frontman Chester Bennington. The lyrics tell all about losing the people you love, so it's only an appropriate release to have now.
It's the title track from the band's seventh studio album which was released in May 2017 through Warner Bros. and Machine Shop Records and reached number one in the US charts. The video has been directed by Linkin Park's own DJ Joe Hahn and their frequent collaborator Mark Fiore.
Joe called working on the video - which is a montage of footage from shows, backstage antics and studio sessions - a 'gesture of good will' to all those who are trying to find ways to connect with the band as music fans come to terms with losing Chester Bennington to depression back in July on the same day that would have been the birthday of his friend Chris Cornell who died not long previously.
Linkin Park will be celebrating their deceased friend's life on October 27th 2017 with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles which will also include a number of special guests. Proceeds from the gig will be going to the Music For Relief charity.
