Dave and Mindy have been forced to abandon their Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl monikers following the defeat of ruthless crime boss Frank D'Amico and the death of Mindy's father Big Daddy. Dave goes back to his school life, while Mindy enrols alongside with him and struggles to fit in amongst her fellow female classmates. However, their 'normal lives' don't last when a new group of masked crime-fighters hit the streets led by the patriotic Colonel Stars and Stripes and they decide it's time to do what they think's right and join with them. It's just as well too, as D'Amico's vengeful son Red Mist has adopted a new alter-ego, The Motherf*****, and is attempting to rally an army of supervillains - with names like Black Death, Mother Russia and Genghis Carnage - to take Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl down.

After their previous caped capering defeating mob boss Frank D'Amico, things seem back to normal for Dave Lizewski and Mindy who have abandoned their respective Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl monikers in favour of a regular high-school life. Mindy struggles to fit in, however, and when Dave tells her of the new generation of crime-fighting, masked civilians, the offer to get back on the streets of New York seems too good to turn down. This new league of superheroes is led by the formidable Colonel Stars and Stripes who encourages his co-crusaders, above all else, to have fun. Though when news of Red Mist, the son of the now deceased D'Amico who now dubs himself The Motherf*****, rallying together an army of supervillains to take on Kick-Ass and his cohorts, things seem less than enjoyable for the teenage heroes.

Dave Lizewski is Kick-Ass, a real superhero who's been trying to live a normal life as a high school student alongside his younger counterpart Mindy, also known as Hit-Girl. However, his escapades fighting and killing crime boss Frank D'Amico has inspired a generation of masked crime-fighters to band together as an alliance led by Colonel Stars and Stripes to protect the streets of New York. Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl decide to don their costumes again when news of Red Mist, D'Amico's son who is now known as supervillain The Motherf*****, assembling an army to destroy them reaches them. However, the hero duo have other things to worry about when the NYPD decide they've had enough of cleaning up the mess of the city's masked protectors and so vow to arrest every costume donning person on the streets. Hit-Girl is apprehended and forced to give up her moniker, and so Kick-Ass must join superhero league Justice Forever in order to combat the imminent uprising of the new formidable evil.
Based on the comic books of the same name by Mark Millar and John Romita. Jr and following on from 2010's 'Kick-Ass' directed by Matthew Vaughn ('X-Men: First Class', 'Stardust', 'Layer Cake'), 'Kick-Ass 2' is the thrilling sequel seeing Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl older and tougher than ever before. It has been directed and written this time by Jeff Wadlow ('Never Back Down', 'Cry_Wolf') and is set for release on August 16th 2013.

Chris Finn (Desmond Harrington) is on his way to a job interview when he turns off the main highway to get around a massive pile-up that has clogged the interstate. The dirt road he finds takes him into the woods where his trip comes to a halt when he crashes into the SUV of five wannabe-campers who are stranded with a flat tire. Chris joins the dim-witted group of two couples, Carly and Scott (Emmanuelle Chriqui and Jeremy Sisto) and Evan and Francine (Kevin Zegers and Lindy Booth), and their friend Jessie (Eliza Dushku). The gang ventures deeper into the woods in search of a working phone to call for help; of course, their cell phones are out of range! Their journey eventually leads them to a log cabin where they soon discover a trio of disfigured, inbred inhabitants that have no need for a phone, but every desire for freshly killed meat.

The movie concerns a group of bored, privileged high school students at a private school. This particular group has a love for games about lying, which they come together to play once a week. All is hunky dory in their group until their ringleader Dodger (Lindy Booth) brings in an outsider named Owen (Julian Morris), a British newbie who got kicked out of his last school for drug possession and for getting a bit too close to the headmaster's daughter. In a flash of creativity, the group cooks up one big lie for the entire school to fall into, involving the murder of a local townie. The lie is simple: A serial killer called The Wolf is terrorizing campus and will strike again when the full moon is out. Suddenly, strange messages show up, people's rooms are wrecked, and people are running for their lives away from a person dressed to fit the description of The Wolf.

American Psycho (based on Bret Easton Ellis' novel) was a satire of 1980s yuppie materialism, represented by Patrick Bateman (a brilliant Christian Bale) who kills prostitutes and homeless men to establish his social power but also kills a co-worker so he can have the best-looking business card in the office. Director Mary Harron also showed, as Ellis keenly did, that being a greedy overachiever makes you just like everybody else. Stripped of basic emotions and possessed by his possessions and status, a man doesn't really exist.

Cult horror fans, you can relax -- Universal Pictures has done right by George Romero.
The new bad-ass, big-budget "Dawn of the Dead" may be a liberty-taking re-envisioning of the zombie classic with speedier corpses and without the deeper human undertones of Romero's 1978 original, but the movie quickly builds to a sustained, spine-tingling crescendo from the very first sequence.
Art-house indie staple Sarah Polley ("Go," "Guinevere," "My Life Without Me") embraces her B-movie side with dignity as Ana, an overworked nurse at a busy hospital who keeps missing snippets of information that something ominous is happening. She hears that a patient who came in the night before with a small bite is now in Intensive Care and wonders why. On her way home from work she flips past the words "...not an isolated incident..." on her car radio while searching for music. She misses a news flash on the TV while taking a romantic shower with her husband before bed.
