Lindsay Lohan will be joined by adult movie star James Deen in the Bret Easton Ellis penned movie 'The Canyons'. The 'American Psycho' author announced the casting details on Twitter this week, and although the addition of Lohan is newsworthy, it's her co-star who is stealing the headlines.
According to IndieWire, Deen - a porn star - will play a film producer in the movie, about "Youth, glamor, sex and Los Angeles". The tagline on the poster reads, "It's not the Hills", referring to the MTV reality series about privileged party kids in California. Deen has reportedly gained a fan following for his boy-next-door image, and has already been profiled in Good magazine and on ABC's 'Nightline'. Announcing the news on his Twitter page, Easton Ellis wrote, "I am beyond thrilled that James Deen and Lindsay Lohan will be playing the parts of Christian and Tara in The Canyons by Bee." The film - which has been funded via the Kickstarter website - will see Paul Schrader behind the camera.
Meanwhile, Bret Easton Ellis has also offered his services to adapt 'Fifty Shades of Grey', for the big screen. Tweeting his perfect cast for the move, Ellis suggested Kristen Stewart or Scarlett Johansson should play the lead role of Ana, with Alex Pettyfer or Ryan Gosling playing her seductive partner Grey.
