Lindsay Lohan's father is facing the same judge who sentenced his daughter to 90 days behind bars last year (11), as he fights accusations he assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
Michael Lohan was in court on Monday morning (23May11) in Los Angeles, where Judge Marsha Revel was overseeing his case.
Lohan pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanour charge of assaulting Kate Major.
He saw the funny side of facing the same judge who sentenced his daughter, telling E! News, "Ironically, I finally got my meeting with Judge Revel that I asked for during Lindsay's case.
"It was an odd way for us to meet. You didn't expect it this way, but yes, we finally spoke."
Lohan will stand trial over allegations he attacked his ex following a heated argument in March (11). Major claimed he became violent and threatened to "strangle and gag" her.
In her police complaint, Major went on to claim Lohan "took a men's razor blade and sliced his left arms...", adding, "He did say if I went to cops he would say I injured him. He is insane."
But Lohan has denied the accusations, insisting he was the one who was assaulted.
The case will now go to trial on 5 July (11).
