Lindsay Lohan has been spotted out on the tiles with a new fashion accessory - an electronic tag which warns her if she is drinking too much.
The MEAN GIRLS star has been in and out of rehab over the last few months after suffering problems with alcohol and drug abuse.
But now the 21-year-old has a new accessory to help in her battle with the drink - an eight-ounce anklet which measures the alcohol content in the wearer's sweat and relays information to a monitoring centre.
However, the bulky black tag looks very similar to those worn by prisoners on remand and other offenders in the UK.
The actress's publicist, Leslie Sloane, said: "She has transitioned to an intensive outpatient programme, which includes attendance at daily Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, outpatient therapy and daily testing."
She added that Lindsay is wearing the tag "so there are no questions about her sobriety if she chooses to go dancing or dining in a place where alcohol is served".
