Lindsay Lohan's estranged dad has little faith his troubled daughter's latest rehab stint will be a success - because he was a former patient at the Seafield Center and he knows how tough life can be there.
Multiple reports suggest Lohan will check into the Westhampton Beach retreat in New York state, where her father Michael spent time for substance abuse in 1989, and begin a 90-day court-ordered stay next month (May13).
And he can only hope the actress takes her latest rehab stint seriously - because it's going to be a real test.
Michael Lohan tells Tmz.com, "There's a ban on tobacco... You have to quit a number of addictions; she's (Lindsay) battling with drugs, pills and cocaine. Imagine someone coming off the cigarettes too, and not to mention she has to detox when she first gets in there and that's really tough."
Asked if he thought his daughter's latest rehab visit could help turn her life around, Michael said, "I hope so, but I don't think so."
And he also slated Lindsay for choosing to have one last pre-rehab hurrah at the Coachella festival in Indio, California, this weekend (12-14Apr13).
Michael adds, "It's not a good thing."
