Lindsay Lohan has opened up her home to the cameras and given her first interview since she was placed under house arrest, revealing she is spending her time re-decorating and reading movie scripts.
The Mean Girls star is serving out a three-month jail sentence at home due to prison overcrowding after she was convicted of violating her probation from a 2007 Dui charge by taking a necklace from a California jewellery store earlier this year (11).
Lohan began her home confinement last month (May11) and has been keeping busy in recent weeks, shooting a commercial at her property in Venice Beach, California and hosting a rooftop party.
She has now allowed cameras into her home for a spread in America's Life & Style magazine, revealing she is spending her time renovating the house and patio, because she "probably wouldn't have done it had I not been home".
Lohan is also looking to the future by reading up on job prospects, adding, "There are so many things you can do. It's a nice way to just be reading scripts and focusing on what I'm going to do next."
The 24 year old admits she was upset to have missed her younger brother Cody's recent 16th birthday party, but understands it is all part of her punishment, telling the magazine, "I was really upset not being able to go to my little brother's birthday party. He just turned 16. That bummed me out..."
She adds, "I do understand that I need to gain some of the respect back, but I'm willing to work hard for that. I understand the situations I've put myself in, and I don't want to go back to that."
