Lindsay Lohan, the troubled American actress, has blasted Los Angeles socialite Paris Hilton for "being mean", reports TMZ.com. Lindsay Lohan, who is currently facing a misdemeanour theft charge for stealing a necklace, was upset by a joke made by Hilton on her new reality television series 'The World According to Paris'.
In the new episode, Hilton was feeding the homeless at the Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles, when one attendee noticed her black earrings. When the woman asked, "Can I have those earrings?", Hilton removed the jewellery and handed them over. The woman said she would give them to her sister and tell her that they were "from Lindsay". Hilton then laughed and remarked "I am not her". In a voiceover, the 24-year-old then said, "If I were Lindsay, I'd be stealing the earrings, not giving them away". Lohan, who is currently facing theft charges for allegedly stealing a necklace from a Los Angeles jeweller, has already responded to the jibe. The actress said, "Paris is mean. You don't have to make fun of serious matters in people's lives to be funny". If convicted of stealing the necklace, Lohan is likely to be sent to prison. Paris and Lindsay have reportedly had a turbulent relationship since 2006, when the latter was accused of getting "too close" to Hilton's ex-boyfriend STAVROS NIARCHOS.
Lindsay Lohan is rumoured to be appearing in the forthcoming comedy movie 'The Dry Gulch Kid', with Matthew Mcconaughey and WOODY HARRELSON.
