Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has decided to go back to the 1980's with a new solo venture.

The ROLLIN' singer has set up PACIFICA as a side-project to his successful nu-metal rockers, although there are no plans yet to release an album.

Durst says, "I don't want to say it sounds like Howard Jones or A FLOCK OF SEAGULLS. Maybe it sounds more like Duran Duran or SOFT CELL -- this will be a more polished, modern take-off of those things.

"Aesthetically and cosmetically, there was so much freedom in the Eighties: hair-sprayed hair to stupid tight jeans. Everything was OK."
