Rumors of a rivalry between Lily Collins and Kristen Stewart over their respective Snow White roles are completely unfounded, according to Collins herself. The actress laughed off suggesttion off a feud at a press junket for her movie 'Mirror Mirror' this week.
The 22-year-old plays Snow White in Mirror Mirror - which also stars Julia Roberts and Sean Bean, while 'Twilight' star Stewart plays a version of the character in 'Snow White and the Huntsman', alongside Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth. Responding to a question from Access Hollywood's Kit Hoover about their supposed feud, Lily explained, "It's funny, I mean, they are so different, they couldn't be more different.Kristen and I have laughed about the fact that we're apparently 'rivals.' And it's just funny to us.I'm excited for her and that version is so utterly different than ours. I think that people are going to get different things out of each one." It's certainly true that 'Mirror Mirror' takes a more traditionalist approach of re-telling the much-loved story, while 'The Huntsman' sees Kristen Stewart donning armour as she battles her enemies in an action-drama. Collins says the story is worth two versions, saying, "There's always two sides to a story, so it's interesting to see two different versions.[Mine] is more of like a comedic adventure, [and hers is] more edgy and dark."
