Lily Allen is to get her own fashion TV show.

The 'Smile' singer - who recently revealed she was taking a break from music to set up a clothes store with her sister - has signed a deal with British network Channel 4 to record her attempt to make it in the fashion world.

A Channel 4 spokesperson said: "It is happening. The name and how many shows there will be is still undecided. It is due to go out early next year."

The shop, called Lucy In Disguise, is a rental fashion store and she and sibling Sarah hope it will appeal to those who can't afford to buy expensive designer outfits.

She said: "It's about making fashion democratic, that's the idea behind it. It's about getting really nice clothes but letting people rent them for affordable prices so they can go out and feel like a million dollars and it won't cost them a million dollars."

Last July, Lily - who is the face of Chanel's Coco Cocoon collection - launched her own jewellery collection and back in 2007 collaborated with British high street store New Look to create a clothing line called Lily Loves.
