Lily Allen has released a song about the US president Donald Trump.

The 31-year-old singer has never been afraid to be vocal about her beliefs, including critiquing the new American leader, and the star has decided to pen and sing a song, which features the lyrics ''I'm so tired of America' on the track.

The track has been posted on YouTube, and plays over video footage of the anti-Trump women's march, which took place in London last weekend.

It has been reported by The Telegraph online that Mark Ronson - who collaborated with Lily on her 'Alright, Still' album - was behind the arrangement of the song, whilst Bafic directed the clip.

And Lily has been praised for her track by Rufus Wainwright who has admitted the vocals on the recent song he holds ''near and dear'' to his heart.

The American singer songwriter tweeted: ''BRAVO @lilyallen @MarkRonson -A song near and dear to my heart. #WomensMarch (sic).''

And the 'LDN' hitmaker has caused a stir on social media with her Twitter post, which has seen her accused of making homophobic slurs.

Lily - who has daughters Ethel, five, and Marnie, four, with her partner Sam Cooper - tweeted: ''F*gs hate Trump (sic).''
