The singer was recalling a 2008 interview were the pair shared some very suggestive banter.
The ‘Late Late Show’ host had been a guest of the singer on her short-lived BBC Three chat show 'Lily Allen and Friends' back in 2008.
And on Twitter, Thursday, a clip of the interview resurfaced, causing Lily to claim she wasn’t receptive to James’s flirting but instead she’d gone along with the banter so she wouldn’t be branded 'cold' or ‘snobbish’.
Lily Allen has said James Corden ‘came on’ to her during a live TV interview in 2008
During the interview, which was in front of a studio audience, James had complimented Lily and told her how 'lovely' he thought she was and said, ’Listen, just ignore all those people there.’
Lily then interjected with, ’Just f**k me,’ causing James to look slightly shocked.
After the studio audience cheered Lily’s forwardness, she then told James, ‘Thank you very much.... that is how you get into a girl's pants. Well done James.'
She then went on to ask the actor if he was 'single', to which James replied: 'It's complicated... no, I am, yeah,' causing Lily to burst out laughing.
But when a Twitter used sent Lily the clip on Thursday and accused her of being 'horny' for James, she insisted that wasn’t the case.
No, I️ wasn’t horny for James cordon either, he came on to me in front of a studio audience, if I’d have shut him down, I️ would have been labeled cold or up myself or snobbish. https://t.co/oWVrtwrLOE— Lily (@lilyallen) November 23, 2017
'No, I wasn’t horny for James cordon either, he came on to me in front of a studio audience,’ she wrote. 'If I’d have shut him down, I would have been labeled cold or up myself or snobbish.'
James is yet to respond to Lily's claims.
