Lily Allen was amazed by the outpouring of support she received from her new neighbours following the tragic loss of her baby last year (10).
The British pop star, who married partner Sam Cooper last month (Jun11), was devastated when she lost the couple's unborn son six months into her pregnancy.
She had just moved into a new home in the English countryside and was amazed to receive bouquets of flowers and cards from the local community after news of the tragedy broke.
The singer tells Elle magazine, "Since I had the really traumatic experience last year, our local community all pitched in. We hadn't been there long, but after the news got out we received flowers and really heartfelt, beautifully written cards. Our vicar (priest) said a similar thing had happened to his family, so he would come over and sit with me. It feels really nice. We feel protected."
Allen is pregnant again and looking forward to welcoming a baby later in the year (11).
