Singer Lily Allen is counting her blessings following a terrifying gas explosion in her caravan on Saturday. In the accident the 30 year old had a lucky escape, suffering just some minor burns. Allen has since used the experience to warn caravan users to be careful and watch out for warning signs with their gas stoves during the holiday season.

“I was in a gas explosion in my caravan today and I have minor burns and singed my eyelashes considerably. it was absolutely terrifying and I wouldn't want anyone to go through anything similar,” the singer wrote on Instagram.

“Please be SO careful using gas stoves at anytime but especially during festival season when ones reaction times may be a little off. Feeling very grateful to be alive. Happy camping.” Allen’s caravan was thought to be parked in Glastonbury where she’s been staying in the week leading up to the famous music festival.

The singer had been entertaining fans on Instagram with pictures of her retro-style caravan, tagged Glastonbury2015, before the accident took place. Allen is now thought to have returned home to London, after she was pictured by the Daily Mail arriving at King's Cross station.

The 30 year old is mother to two children, Ethel, three and Marnie, two, with husband of three years Sam Cooper. Last week, the couple celebrated their third wedding anniversary with a romantic getaway to Paris.
