British singer Lily Allen wants to encourage shoppers to recycle worn clothes with her new retail venture - by stocking the racks with garments from her very own closet.
The Smile singer is preparing to launch her designer clothing rental shop in London, called Lucy in Disguise, with her half-sister Sarah Owen, in September (10).
And shoppers are in for a treat - some items are coming straight out of Allen's personal closet.
Allen hopes offering her used clothes will inspire buyers to reconsider a throw-away shopping culture.
She tells Britain's Elle magazine,"It's not ethical to do that, so I'm quite happy to turn it into a business and see other people having enjoyment out of it."
