Lily Allen regrets launching a pop career, confessing she was "sucked in" by the lure of fame.
The Smile hitmaker plans to retire from recording and performing live later this year (10) to concentrate on setting up a music label and a designer clothes hire store.
She fast became one of the most famous names in British pop after bursting onto the scene in 2006 - but now admits she was seduced by fame and rues becoming such a well-known public figure.
Allen tells British TV channel Sky Arts, "I definitely got sucked in and attracted by something that I thought was real and now I have realised that it isn't and it is not necessarily something that I really want to be a part of. You will see me gravitate away from it all."
