Lily Allen has been quizzed by police investigating allegations a snowball fight involving the star ended in a brawl. The British singer was enjoying a day of sledging at a park in London's Primrose Hill on Monday (02Feb09) after the U.K. capital came to a standstill due to extreme weather.
She was spotted laughing and joking with pals as she pelted paparazzi with snow before sliding down the icy slopes on a disused road sign.
But the singer's high-spirits soon came crashing down when a gang of six youths took their snow-slinging too far, and began a relentless attack on passers-by.
Police were called, and the youngsters were arrested after one man was allegedly badly beaten.
Now it has emerged cops have taken a statement from Allen as part of their investigation into the incident.
She tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "It's really sad. We were having a brilliant day but it all went a bit crazy and I was trying to look after these little kids who were getting caught up in it all.
"The police came to speak to me and I gave them a statement. I simply told them what I saw."
