British singer Lily Allen was devastated when she missed her brother's opening scenes during his stage debut in Equus. The star was due to be in the audience for the duration of the three-hour play - which opened in Chichester, southern England on Thursday (31Jan08) - to support younger sibling Alfie's performance. But Allen arrived to the town's Festival Theatre ten minutes after the curtain was raised - although she did manage to catch the majority of her brother's lines. Alfie Allen had a lot to live up to in his new role, taking over from Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. However, the audience, which included Alfie and Lily's dad Keith Allen, gave the 21-year-old a standing ovation.
