Lily Allen had re-tweeted a link from Gay Times, which had promoted her cover of Rufus Wainwright's 'Going To a Town' filmed at the Women's March in London.
Outspoken pop star Lily Allen has so far refused to back down and apologise over a tweet that sparked accusations of homophobia, after the star referred to gay people as “f**s” in a tirade against Donald Trump.
The 31 year old star sparked outrage on the social media site after writing “F**s hate Trump”, linking it to a post from Gay Times that had showcased her new cover of Rufus Wainwright’s ‘Going To a Town’, which she had performed at the weekend at the Women’s March in London.
A music video was filmed there too, which featured many protestors bearing placards, one of which reads: “F**s hate Trump”.

Allen had claimed she had "only ever been sexually assaulted by white males" during the heated exchange.
Following their barbed Twitter row over immigration and racism, singer Lily Allen has suggested that she’s preparing to take legal action against Tommy Robinson, the former English Defence League co-founder.
The 31 year old star clashed with Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, over his use of the word ‘migrant’ in an article concerning the perpetrator of the Istanbul nightclub terrorist attack that occurred in the early hours of New Year’s Day and claimed the lives of 39 people.

Allen met a 13 year old boy from Afghanistan who is trying to reunite with his father in Britain, when filming a short piece for 'Victoria Derbyshire' this week.
After the visiting the child refugee camp in Calais, known as ‘The Jungle’, pop star Lily Allen broke down in tears while meeting one 13 year old resident and apologising “on behalf of my country”.
The 31 year old singer visited the make-shift refugee camp near the port of Calais this week, volunteering at the warehouse where donations and supplies are distributed, and witnessed the dismal conditions in which its inhabitants live, for a piece on behalf of the BBC's ‘Victoria Derbyshire' current affairs show.
Allen was visibly moved by the stories of some residents she met, of the struggles they had been through to get to the UK, where many claim they have family connections. The ordeal of one 13 year old boy she met, who left Afghanistan and whose father lives in Birmingham, caused her to break down and weep.
The singer took to twitter to set the record straight after it was claimed she’d been forced to sell her Cotswolds home to pay a large tax bill.
Singer Lily Allen has denied tabloid claims that she’s been forced to sell her £4.2million Cotswolds mansion after being hit by a huge tax bill. Taking to Twitter, Allen said that she was actually selling the mansion because she was moving to London full time, rather than for financial reasons.
Lily Allen says the sale of her mansion is because she’s moving to London.
When a user on twitter asked why she was selling the mansion Allen replied, “because I'm moving to London full time.” She then told another user it was for sale, “because I don't live there anymore.’

The singer shared videos of Farage, Murdoch and Conservative MP Liam Fox all sitting together at the party.
Singer Lily Allen was a guest at a garden party on Sunday afternoon (July 3) which featured an interesting collection of names from UK politics. Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, UKIP’s Nigel Farage (who stepped down as party leader this morning) and Conservative MP Liam Fox were all pictured by Allen mingling together, as she live tweeted pics and videos from the party.
Lily Allen attended the same party as Rupert Murdoch and Nigel Farage on Sunday.
Allen first tweeted a picture showing Murdoch and Farage talking, with the caption: “I'm at a garden party. Hope I'm not sitting next to Voldemort or Fromage. I might be sick.” She then shared a video of Murdoch, Farage and Fox all sitting eating together.

Lily Allen has been voicing her views on Brexit and David Cameron.
On Saturday the singer tweeted: “I can't actually see any individual being brave enough to trigger article 50. It's career suicide.” Allen then explained she now supported Brexit because it’s what democracy had voted for and not because she’d done a political ‘u-turn’, as some accused her of.

Children should be taught about "the dangers of marriage" and "how to apply for a mortgage" on the national curriculum, the singer reckons.
Lily Allen dropped a pretty strong hint that her marriage might finally be over as she appeared on a radio phone-in show, telling listeners during a discussion about education that she wants her children to learn about “divorce” and “the dangers of marriage”.
The 30 year old singer, whose marriage to Sam Cooper has been rumoured to be on the rocks for some time, told LBC presenter Shelagh Fogarty on Thursday morning (February 11th) that she’d replace maths and science on the curriculum with lessons about the benefits and drawbacks of getting married, as well as the more practical side of life.

The 29 year-old singer gave birth to a stillborn, 6 month-old son in 2010.
It isn't often fans get to see a venerable side to the usually confident Lily Allen, but when the British pop star recently recalled one of the saddest times in her life, when she gave birth to a stillborn, 6 month-old son in 2010, she became very emotional.
Allen became very emotional whilst recalling her stillbirth son in 2010
During a very candid interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, which aired on Saturday, Nov. 8, Allen remembered losing her first child and said, "I think it's difficult for anybody regardless of what world they live in...it was the most unfortunate thing that can ever happen to a person."
Allen's Instagram prank backfired rather spectacularly.
Lily Allen’s Instagram prank with the help of an Australian police officer could land her and her co-conspirator in some trouble. Let’s rewind a bit. On Sunday, Allen was leaving Sydney, being escorted by officers through Gold Coast Airport, which was apparently just for her safety. According to TMZ, the Sheezus singer jokingly asked one of the officers to handcuff her and then posed on her knees for an Instagram picture. Allen will be joining the Bangerz tour for a handful of dates in the US this August, so maybe she was just channeling her inner Miley Cyrus?
Hope the photo op was worth it.
Apparently that doesn’t fly with the Australian Federal Police. The law enforcement body has now launched an investigation into the incident, claiming that protocols were breached. Since then, the AFP has been sending some mixed signals about the whole thing, more or less excusing the officers by saying they were “caught up in the moment.”

Whether you were at Glastonbury, the BET Awards, the Monty Python reunion, or whether you were listening to Ed Sheeran's new album on the way to the cinema to see 'Transformers,' there was plenty to talk about this week.
Glastooo!: You'd have had to have been living under 17 rocks on the other side of the world to avoid the constant Glastonbury Festival coverage. As well as hundreds of thousands of punters, Somerset's Worthy Farm played host to one of the strongest line-ups seen in recent years, including Metallica, Arcade Fire, Kasabian, Jack White and Elbow.
Pop star Lily Allen raised a few eyebrows but more cheers with her foul-mouthed rant, whilst country rock superstar Dolly Parton was the biggest crowd draw ever seen and Rudimental were reduced to tears when their set was cut short due to the stormy weather.

England don’t have an official World Cup song yet, but Lily Allen has attempted to remedy that with her take on the niche bubble of pop usually reserved for aging actors/rockers prancing around in budget productions.
Lily Allen has offered up a world cup song for England
Allen’s effort differs from those rather depressing efforts, but is equally disheartening due its reliance on the ancient relic of patriotism in the absence of any real musical qualities. It’s all garage poppy.

Yes, according to her brother Alfie...
Alfie Allen has all but denied that his sister Lily Allen was offered a role in Game of Thrones, but that she turned it down because of some incestuous material written into the plot. The offending scene occurred back in season 2 of the HBO drama.
Was Lily Allen's Game of Thrones story just that, a story?
Allen claimed that she was “asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo” on a Reddit AMA. “They asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister [Yara], and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s---. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though,” she said.

Come with us on a tour of the weird and wonderful world of Lily Allen's Instagram.
Aren’t celebrity instagram profiles the best thing? They’ve provided us with intimate insights, hilarious moments, the occasional bit of controversy and, in Lily Allen’s case, boob muffs (those are ear muffs, shaped like breasts, btw). It’s tough to pick favorites, but Sheezus’ profile is probably close to the best when it comes to hilarity. Here are our top picks from Allen’s camera roll.
5. The aforementioned boob muffs picture. We’re glad instagram didn’t censor this one, because the world needed to see these.

Starring in Game of Thrones sounds cool, but not when you have to act out an incest story... with your brother
Many were baffled when it turned out Lily Allen didn’t want to act in Game of Thrones. Everybody wants to act in Game of Thrones, it’s Game of Thrones, people probably said. But when you listen to Allen’s reasoning behind turning down the role, you’ll probably develop some sympathy for the decision.
Lily Allen didn't fancy what HBO had in mind
“I’ve been asked to do a Game of Thrones cameo, they asked me if I’d be interested in playing Theon’s sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s***,” Allen wrote in response to a question on a Reddit AMA. “Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks. I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though.”
The 29 year-old singer hate shearing her own songs in clubs and bars: "I find the nearest table and hide underneath it."
Lily Allen does not like hearing her own music in public.
The 29 year-old songstress recently revealed she finds listening to her songs "weird," even though her return to the music industry has been hugely successful.
Allen is currently celebrating her comeback album 'Sheezus' earning the top spot on the UK's Official Albums Chart, but this doesn't mean she had to be a fan.
The 29 year-old singer's decision to return to the music scene was the right choice as her latest studio album reaches the top spot on the UK album charts.

Lily Allen is back on stage, but how did the Sheezus songstress do on her live return?
We’ve known for a while now that Lily Allen is back on the music scene, but on Sunday she returned to the stage with a gig at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire to launch her Sheezus album.

Dressed in a chiffon pink ruffled crop top by Ashish along with some very glittery jogging bottoms. The ‘Hard Out Here’ singer wore her hair in a high ponytail as she took to the London stage. Tube strikes weren’t enough to keep Lily’s fans or famous friends away from her live comeback and father Keith Allen and husband Sam Cooper were both on hand to lend their support to the Sheezus star.

Is Sheezus an homage or a diss to the first ladies of pop music?
Lily Allen really wants you to know she’s over pop culture – or some parts of it anyway. In her new single and video, Sheezus, she name checks everyone from Lorde to Beyonce and even seems to be referencing Kanye West. Allen’s digs at her fellow pop stars are harmless enough – “RiRi isn’t scared of Katy Perry’s roaring, Queen B’s gone back to the drawing/ Lorde smells blood, yeah, she’s about to slay you...” and it goes on along those lines for a couple of choruses. The theme seems to be “battle of the divas”, where Allen declares “Second best will never cut it for the divas/Give me the crown, b****, I wanna be Sheezus” like some technicolor female version of Kendrick Lamar.
Like so many before her, Lily Allen is "coming for the throne."
The song has a heavier bass line than we’re used to hearing from the typically poppy Allen, but the lyrics are pretty catchy. Thankfully it’s lighter on the AutoTune than her last few singles.
The 28 year-old singer nearly died due to blood poisoning, after suffering from her second miscarriage in 2010.
Lilly Allen has kept relatively quiet about a personal tragedy that occurred in November 2010.
The 28 year-old pop star suffered a miscarriage during her pregnancy with husband Sam Cooper.
Only days after losing her unborn baby, Allen was rushed to hospital and came close to death due to septicaemia – poisoning of the blood.
How much does Lily Allen earn? Loads. But also nothing.
Lily Allen sure does have a strange concept of money. When asked how much she earned from the John Lewis Christmas ad, which saw the singer reach number 1 with her cover of Keane’s ‘Somewhere Only We Know’, Allen responded with “nothing,” before explaining that she “probably made £8k”.
Lily Allen: earning nothing
“Everyone assumes I made millions from the John Lewis ad,” Allen said when talking to BEAT. "Now I'm not earning much from the music I won't do as much promo for the record company. It's changed in that sense. I have to look at other ways,” she continued.

Lily Allen has agreed that her new music is 'rubbish', so can we agree as well?
We’ve always known that singer Lily Allen was never afraid of saying what was on her mind, but her latest outburst, in response to a Twitter fan calling her music ‘rubbish’ might be her most shocking yet. Shocking because, well the singer agreed. When a fan took to the micro blogging site to call her latest musical offerings ‘docile pop rubbish’, Lily responded with ‘what you’ve heard so far yes. All I can do is do my best, the labels and the radio stations won’t play the better stuff.’ So is Lily and her disappointed fan right, are her new singles just ‘rubbish’?
Lily Allen is back, but for better or worse?
Lily Allen decided to take a break from the music industry back in 2009, by that stage she’d released two albums, 2006’s multi platinum ‘Alright Still’ and 2009’s ‘Its' Not Me, It's You’, so her musical hiatus came as a bit of a shock to fans. During her down time Lily became a mother to two children and married husband Sam Cooper in 2011. She also used her time off from music to open a clothing store with her sister and launch her own record label. Then in 2012 Lily found herself back in the studio, recording what was to become her first album in five years, the soon to be released ‘Sheezus’.

The outspoken singer spared no expletive when defending her stance
Having stated that feminism "shouldn't even be a thing any more," Lily Allen responded to her critics by telling them to “f**k off”. The comments were made in in Shortlist, where she stated that "everyone is equal" and asked why there is no "man version of feminism".
Can you tell that Lily Allen doesn't care what you think?
In a message posted on Twitter, Allen offered up two demographics that are allowed to take issue with her ideals: "Unless you're standing outside Downing Street with one of those Australian bush hats in place of corks shouting 'equal rights for men and women', you've got no place telling me what kind of feminist I am or am not,” she said, adding: “F**k off."

Lily Allen to release 'Air Balloon'; single two from her upcoming 2014 album.
Lily Allen will unveil a brand new single entitled 'Air Balloon' as she gears up for what looks to be a very busy year for the star.
Lily unveils 'Air Balloon'
The 'Not Fair' hitmaker took a hiatus from the music industry in 2009, but it's been far from a much-needed break. She has had a few highs having married builder Sam Cooper and given birth to two daughters, and a few downs having had her second miscarriage, but she seems truly ready to return with a bang in 2014. We had a few teasers towards the end of 2013 with her John Lewis Christmas single 'Somewhere Only We Know' (a Keane cover) and the release of her upcoming third album's first single 'Hard Out Here', but the exceptionally catchy and stupidly cheerful 'Air Balloon' is marking the New Year.
We take a look at what 2014 has in store for cinemas, consoles, iPods and TVs
2013 saw Iron Man 3 break the $1 billion club, Grand Theft Auto V smash sales records, Daft Punk permeate everyone’s summer playlists and Netflix redefine the term ‘binge watching’, not to mention a certain Walter White… It was a pretty startling year, and even though Breaking Bad had to say goodbye, there’s plenty to look forward to in 2014 for lovers of film, games, music and TV, and here are the highlights.
Breaking Bad defined a binge-ready, streaming-happy 2013, so what does 2014 hold?

Ahead of the season, Lily Allen's Christmas single proves to be a chart climber.
You know it’s the holiday season when songs from Christmas adverts take over the charts – in this case it’s Lily Allen’s cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know. The track, which is featured in a John Lewis ad campaign, was bumped off the top last week. The gentle tones of Somewhere, so unlike Allen’s latest previous single Hard Out Here, still managed to topple One Direction’s Story of My Life and Bastille’s Of The Night.
Allen's Christmas cover will have to hold out for another two weeks against tough competition.
According to the Official Charts Company, Allen’s festive cover might even have a chance at the coveted Christmas Number one – provided it can outlast the competition. Somewhere Only We Know would have to beat songs by the likes of AC/DC, U2, and Susan Boyle to hold on to its Number 1 for two more weeks. This year’s festive chart sees the return of both X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent alumni, as James Arthur, Leona Lewis and Lucy Spraggan, as well as Richard & Adam and Susan Boyle will all be releasing singles. With so many people staking a claim at the Christmas Number 1, Allen will have a tough time keeping her lead.
Lily Allen denies her new video 'Hard Out Here' is a spoof of Miley Cyrus, revealing she is a fan of the "funny, witty and clever" 21 year-old.
Lily Allen's first song release in four years, 'Hard Out Here', has caused quite a stir in the public eye, even attracting the attention of Miley Cyrus.
The video attempts to mock all things pop-culture, from tweaking to plastic surgery, but it recently was accused of containing racist content.
The use of black back-up dancers' twerking has been met with allegations of racist undertones, which Lily has strongly denied.
Lily Allen is heading to Glastonbury, but who will be joining her?
The singer, who made her comeback with new single 'Hard Out Here,' confirmed the news on Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Tuesday (November 19 2013).
"It got confirmed yesterday," she said, "I'll be doing 16 weeks of festivals over the summer and then tour." Lily said Glastonbury would be her first "big" gig of 2014 and added: "It's the best festival, I think - that, and Fuji Rock in Japan,"

You'll wipe a tear from your eye and get excited about Christmas: John Lewis have done it again.
It’s around now the Christmas cynics come out in force and say things like, "by the lords of Netflix: decorations already!?" and "Odin’s Breath! I hate presents, nice food and snow." But shut up cynics: Christmas is a laugh, and so is the new John Lewis ‘The Bear and The Hare’ Christmas advert.
Last year’s effort saw a saw an adorable snowman and wife have the perfect Christmas, as Mr. Snowman made the impossible trek to a John Lewis store to buy her a scarf. It was silly – like this year’s – but it was still really fun. ‘The Bear and The Hare’ is similarly silly, but equally fun.

Lily will signal her comeback with a Christmassy cover of 'Somewhere Only We Know.'
British retailers John Lewis are fast becoming renowned for their creative Christmas adverts with beautiful songs. Singer Lily Allen will cover Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know' for this year's advert as the pop star makes her return to music, according to Music Week.
The Christmas Fairy? Lily Allen To Record Christmas Song.
2010 saw Ellie Goulding covering Elton John's classic 'Your Song' whilst Gabrielle Aplin's Frankie Goes To Hollywood cover of 'Power of Love' was last year's choice. Amelia Warner recorded a rendition of The Smiths' 'Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want' for the company's 2011 Xmas ad. All three songs climbed the UK singles chart as a result of featuring in the department store's advert and it looks like this year will be no different in terms of accelerated sales.

Singer/pianist Tom Odell looks set to overtake rapper Kanye West as his debut album Long Way Down shoots up the charts by Sunday.
The news that Tom Odell might reach the No.1 spot in the UK charts comes just two days after British music magazine NME gave a 0/10 as the 22 year-old's debut abum Long Way Down plummeted violently at the hands of jaded journo, Mark Beaumont who described Odell as a "virulent dose of musical syphilis." In response to his son's scathing review at the hands of NME, Odell's pilot father phoned up the music mag to complain that the debut had been reviewed unfairly, according to The Independent.
Will Tom Odell Tip Kanye From The Top Spot?
Lily Allen, who originally discovered Odell and signed him to her label, claiming he reminded her of David Bowie, rushed to his defence on Twitter with a searing tweet: "For all the people asking who the NME is, it's like this fanzine that people used to read in the 90s" after earlier describing NME as tw*ts in an earlier. The 22 year-old from Chichester made his name touring the open mic circuits but quickly rose to fame after being discovered by Allen, which led to an album advance, an EP and an appearance on Later With Jools Holland.

The website is making group and people are talking about it, but could MySpace really make a return to the social media zeitgeist?
Didn't MySpace die out long ago - like the dinosaurs - through means of natural selection and general lack of interest? That's what we thought, but just like Jurassic Park the past is being resurrected from the dead so it may roam the Earth once more and maybe, just maybe, survive longer than it did the first time round. However, the MySpace commercial seems to indicate that maybe, after's it's long hiatus, the website could be back for good as a host of of the biggest underground talents get together and celebrate the return of the site that brought us The Arctic Monkeys, Lily Allen, Sean Kingston and more in the past.
The $20 million ad-campaign from the newly-launched site features Pharrell Williams, Mac Miller, ScHoolBoy Q, Riff Raff, DIIV, Ciara, Trash Talk, Sky Ferreira and more as the site hopes to re-capture the success of the early 2000's. After such a momentous fall, how are Tom and co. going to make sure they don't suffer the same fate again? Well, gone is the emphasis on social-interaction and instead the main focus is on the musical side of things, with the site looking to work with FaceBook and Twitter rather than against it so that fans can keep up to date with their favourite musicians with little emphasis on introducing friends to the site or having to interact with other people on a large scale. So in other words, it's a lot like SoundCloud or Bandcamp, only with a shiny new advert and Justin Timberlake sitting on the board of directors for the company. It might still work, but frankly we're not going to hold our breaths and see if it becomes a success again.

While she didn't use Twitter to break the news, she has used the social networking site to air her pregnancy grievances and thoughts. Marnie Rose is a couple of weeks late, so she left a couple of tweets about her plans for her birth.

"I genuinely can't believe it. Thank you so much. Looking at the list of amazing female artists who have won the Award already, I just hope I don't let the boys down!" he said after winning the accolade, which has previously been awarded to Emeli Sande, Jessie J, Ellie Goulding, Florence And The Machine and Adele. Given the talents of those recipients, you can expect Odell to be a house hold name in around... 4 minutes.
His glowing reference from Lily Allen will certainly have helped his case. She said: "I went to see him play and signed him to my label straight away. His voice is fragile yet powerful and he sings mainly love songs. I'm not usually a massive fan of singer-songwriter stuff, but when I saw him live his energy onstage reminded me of David Bowie. It's not soppy and moany at all, it's energetic and insightful. And he's totally gorgeous as well! Blond hair and blue eyes, and simply just lovely."

He got his break in the music industry when a friend of Lily Allen’s took her to see him play and she was instantly drawn to the singer’s talents. Odell recently released his debut EP ‘Songs From Another Love’ and has expressed his surprise at learning that he’s been awarded the accolade of Critics’ Choice – becoming the first ever male artist to do so.
“I genuinely can’t believe it. Thank you so much. Looking at the list of amazing female artists who have won the Award already, I just hope I don’t let the boys down!" said Odell. Lily Allen – now known as Lily Rose Cooper – had already tipped Tom for success in NME, revealing “I went to see him play and signed him to my label straight away. Blond hair and blue eyes, and simply just lovely.”
The Critics’ Choice award is chosen by a panel of industry insiders every year and is awarded to an artist who is yet to have released a debut album. Previous winners have included Emeli Sande, Jessie J and Ellie Goulding.
