QUINCY JONES' son has denied allegations he used Lil Wayne's music in an unauthorised documentary without permission and urged a judge to dismiss the rapper's lawsuit against him.

The Lollipop hitmaker has sued Quincy Jones Iii accusing him of copyright infringement over claims he failed to obtain the proper rights to feature tracks in a 2009 film titled The Carter.

However, Jones is adamant he had the right to use the songs because the music is key to telling Lil Wayne's story in the documentary and he has filed paperwork requesting the dismissal of the star's lawsuit, according to Tmz.com.

Jones is also asking for the rapper to be ordered to pay his legal costs.
