What looked to have been quite the ordeal for rapper Lil Wayne, looks to finally be over after he was released from hospital and allowed to rest at home following a seizure he had on a plane.

TMZ had originally broken the story that the critically and commercially acclaimed MC had to be hospitalised after suffering seizure-like symptoms on his private jet. Weezy was certainly out of breath alright, causing the air vehicle to land in Texas before medical services arrived on the scene and transferred him to a local hospital. Lil Wayne’s rep had told the gossip website that the rapper was treated for a migraine and dehydration; they added: "He is at home on doctor mandated rest and will return to work soon. He appreciates all of his fans for their support and love."

However, in an update to the story, the San Antonio Airport Director didn’t mention dehydration in his report. He did say, though, that there had been a medical emergency declared for the passenger on board – who was of course Lil Wayne. Fire trucks and ambulance services managed to respond quickly to the emergency and had the rapper out of the airplane within ten minutes. Although there still seems to be a couple of details missing from the story, it would appear that Wayne suffered a near miss indeed.
