Lil Wayne paid his last respects to rapper MAGNOLIA SHORTY at her funeral in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday (30Dec10).
The Lollipop hitmaker and his Cash Money labelmates B.G., Juvenile, MACk Maine and Baby visited the Fifth African Baptist Church in the city to honour the female MC, who was shot dead last week (20Dec10).
More than 1,000 family members and friends gathered inside the church, while the streets outside were lined with approximately 1,500 fans, who remembered Magnolia Shorty with homemade signs and t-shirts.
Rapper B.G. paid tribute to the fallen hip-hop star, telling MTV News, "Magnolia Shorty was like a sister to me and it ain't just what she meant to me; it's what she meant to Louisiana, it's what she meant to New Orleans.
"She was someone you loved to be around. She was the best at what she do (sic). I'm really speechless right now, but it ain't sunk in yet... She owned this city, but she was this close to ownin' the world."
