Hip-hop star JOSEPH 'REVEREND RUN' SIMMONS has offered to help British reality TV show runners-up Liberty X improve their image.

The RUN-DMC founder will work with the losers of Simon Cowell's first British talent show POPSTARS on a track titled A SONG FOR LOVERS.

And the group - Jessica Taylor, Michelle Heaton, Kelli Young, KEVIN SIMM and TONY LUNDON - are delighted.

A source says, "They were just over the moon when he said yes. Tony Lundon is a huge Run-DMC fan and was desperate to work with Reverend Run.

"The collaboration came about because Liberty X got to know US band KOOL AND THE GANG after covering their hit Cherish. Robert 'Kool' is pals with Rev Run and got him to agree to working with the guys.

"The band are all incredibly excited. They recorded the track in Denmark and they think it sounds fantastic."
