Set against the bright lights of the Japan capital, 'Tokyo' is the brand new single from Lianne La Havas taken from her last album which she released two years ago. The video was directed and shot by Ravi Dhar (who also did her last video 'Green & Gold'), with the song having appeared on her second studio album 'Blood'.
Lianne released the neo soul album back in July 2015, collaborating with producers Di Genius, Paul Epworth, Mark Batson, Jamie Lidell and Aqualung and being nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards.
While it is mildly disappointing to see that her latest release is not in fact new musical material, she has insisted that her third album is well underway and she just wanted to shoot 'Tokyo' with her good friend. The singer is actually due to perform in Japan later this year, at Club Quattro in Shibuya.
