The 'Lost & Found' songstress is hoping to collaborate with the Blur and Gorlliaz musician on her next record after being awestruck by him when they appeared on a TV show together.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, she said: ''I saw him performing on Jools Holland's 'Hootenanny' and he looked at me. Our eyes met. That's as far as it went but inquiries are being made and the early signs are good.''
The 23-year-old singer admitted she was ''disappointed'' to learn she hadn't received a BRIT Award nomination for her critically acclaimed debut album 'Is Your Love Big Enough?' last year, but praised this year's crop of nominees, including Emeli Sande.
She said: ''Maybe next year. I was disappointed because I worked very hard throughout last year. But I've achieved a great amount and all the girls nominated are very deserving.
''I'm going to be rooting for all the girls - Jessie Ware, Paloma Faith, Emeli Sande. If they could all win that would be great. And Ben Howard, who didn't get nominated last year. It's great he's finally been recognised.''
