Having welcomed his son with his girlfriend Cheryl just over a month ago, Liam Payne has spoken about his experiences with first-time fatherhood, admitting that he spends a lot of his time in front of daytime television.

The former One Direction star, 23, let slip that the last five or so weeks of new parenthood have got him hooked on ‘Judge Rinder’, and that he regularly watches it with Cheryl and their newborn son Bear at the family home in Surrey.

The revelation came as Payne signed autographs in London. A fan approached him for his signature, to which the singer responded that he recognised the man from the hit ITV series.

With the arrival of the second One Direction baby last month, Harry Styles has admitted that he would be “honoured” to be the godfather of his bandmate Liam Payne’s son.

The 23 year old singer, who released his debut solo single ‘Sign of the Times’ this week, is busy in a very different way to his bandmate Liam, who welcomed a baby boy with his girlfriend Cheryl at the end of last month.

Styles admitted that Liam and Cheryl probably have “a lot of people” in mind for who they might want to be the newborn’s godfather, and though he won’t be pressurising them to picking him, he would be very pleased if they did.

Donald Trump’s new policies have been widely denounced and criticised for being tyrannical, but they can hardly have come as a surprise to Liam Payne, who recalled a time they were on the receiving end of the new president’s wrath when One Direction were kicked out of one of his hotels – because they refused to meet his daughter!

It’s not exactly clear when this happened, but Payne said that the band and their entourage were staying in Trump’s hotel in New York City and catching up on their sleep, when a request came from on high for 1D to meet the new POTUS’s kid.

Speaking in the new issue of Hello! magazine, Niall said: "There's a little bit of a story behind it but I won't be telling you that. She's a great girl, really fun. He's a top man and one of my best friends. She seems happy, he's happy, so I'm happy for them.”

Singer Cheryl has endured months of scrutiny since her marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini ended last year and it was revealed she’s dating One Direction’s Liam Payne. But the former ‘X Factor’ judge says she no longer cares what people think, something she wishes she’d told herself to do years ago.

Cheryl says she no longer cares about other people’s opinions on her.

Speaking to The Mirror, Cheryl was asked if the constant scrutiny still stresses her out. “I’m too far through the mill for that,” she said. “You get slapped so many times, at some point it just stops hurting.”

Speaking to The Mirror, Jean-Bernard described himself as still a ‘married man’, but admitted that there is now ‘someone else’ in his life.

“It’s been a tough year, I’m trying to move on. I’ll never think badly of her. She is a great girl,” he told The Mirror. “I’m still a married man, but there is someone else.” Cheryl and Jean-Bernard split in October of last year, just over a year after marrying on the Caribbean island of Mustique.

Bad news for One Direction fans, as it looks as if the boyband won’t be getting back together anytime soon. According to the Daily Star, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan are having so much fun away from the band, their year-long hiatus has been extended.

One Direction are said to not be reuniting any time soon.

“One Direction are not coming together in a year or even two,” a source told the newspaper. “The fans have hoped that the group would honour their announcement of returning within 12 months. But that is a long way off and the boys are not even on track to mention a comeback.”

Singer Cheryl has been accused of refusing to attend counselling sessions with husband Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini as he tried to save their marriage. The couple began divorce proceedings in December, just 18 months after tying the knot in a secret ceremony.

Cheryl is alleged to have refused to attend marriage counselling with her former husband.

A source told The Sun that Cheryl refused to attend counselling and instead offered her husband a substantial financial settlement to speed up their divorce, which he refused. “JB wanted to pull out all the stops to make the marriage work,” the source said.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has dropped her surname and will now be know simply as Cheryl again. The singer, who is currently divorcing ex-husband Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini, has reportedly decided to go back to using just her first name professionally, after previously being known under three different surnames so far in her career.

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will now be known as Cheryl again.

Cheryl’s first public outing under her new, old name will come at the the Global Gift Gala in Paris next month, where she will be honoured by her friend Eva Longoria for her charity work.
