He was a huge fan of the original movie as a child.
Liam Hemsworth was thrilled to be cast in the 20-years-later sequel Independence Day: Resurgence, since the 1996 original film was one of his childhood favourites. "I was 6 or 7 years old when I first watched it," he says. "My brothers had it on VHS videotape, and I sneaked in and watched it with them. As the youngest brother, I was probably the craziest out of all three of us. My uncles called me 'devil child' and said that I needed to be exorcised!"
'Independence Day: Resurgence' stars Liam Hemsworth and Jeff Goldblum
In the sequel, he plays Jake Morrison, whose parents were killed during the events of the first movie. "He grew up in an orphanage," Hemsworth explains, "joined the military and became one of the best-of-the-best fighter pilots. Then he makes a bad decision and ends up being demoted to the moon where he drives a tug, essentially the same as a forklift."

Two decades is a long time to wait for a sequel, especially one starring much of the original cast. (The record may go to the 32 years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens.) But clearly filmmakers Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin have long wanted to follow up their 1996 blockbuster hit Independence Day. The result is a big, fast sci-fi action thriller that lacks both the original movie's enjoyably raucous tone and its break-out star Will Smith.
After the events of 20 years ago, America has taken alien technology to heart, improving transportation and military defence, including creating a base on the moon to keep an eye out for returning tentacled baddies. Then an orb-shape ship appears, followed by a new mothership so large that it spans the entire Atlantic Ocean. President Lanford (Sela Ward) turns to the surviving heroes of the previous invasion for help: scientific expert David (Jeff Goldblum), former president Whitmore (Bill Pullman) and mad genius Brakish (Brent Spiner). Meanwhile, a young team of next-generation pilots dives into the fray, including Dylan (Jesse T. Usher playing Will Smith's now-grown son), Jake (Liam Hemsworth), Patricia (Maika Monroe as Whitmore's daughter and Jake's fiancee) and Charlie (Travis Tope).
The film is assembled in standard disaster movie style, quickly introducing characters and their personal little melodramas before throwing them into the mad chaos of this new invasion. Emmerich is an expert at this structure, using it to hugely entertaining effect from Independence Day to Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, 2014 and White House Down. So it's odd that this film feels so lifeless by comparison. The story rushes past at a breathless pace that never allows the characters or events to gain any real traction with the audience. The only sharp wit on hand this time comes from throwaway one-liners apparently improvised by Goldblum. And the action feels eerily derivative, rehashed from Emmerich's filmography with added elements from Star Wars and Apocalypse Now.

Liam Hemsworth says he once threw a knife at brother Chris.

Speaking on 'The Graham Norton' show, Goldblum said "two films was enough" although he was available for the film.
Jeff Goldblum has left fans of the Jurassic World series disappointed as he revealed that he won’t be starring in the massive blockbuster’s sequel either.
The actor, who played a prominent role in the original 1993 hit Jurassic Park and its 1997 follow-up The Lost World: Jurassic Park, chose to give the 2015 re-boot a miss. Now, he’s told British TV host Graham Norton that he’s not going to take part in Jurassic World 2.

Fantastic Films And When To Find Them...
This year is turning out to be an exciting year for the film industry. With all the award shows over and done with for 2015, we're keeping tabs on some of the major pictures of 2016 to see what's in store for next year's Oscars. Looks like there's some serious competition.
So far, among the major releases we've had are 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', 'Deadpool', 'Hail, Caesar!', 'Zootopia' and '10 Cloverfield Lane'. That is literally the tip of a very large iceberg for what 2016 has to bring to screens this year.
Here are 20 more you need to watch out for:
Everyone knows the tale of David Levinson and Captain Steven Hiller, the two men at the forefront of the last Alien invasion. Since that last fateful day, Levinson has worked tirelessly to protect the world and strengthen it from alien attacks, even using the technology they discovered on board the alien spaceship to counter their possible attack methods.
When the people of Earth learn that Aliens are on their way back to our planet, there's automatic hysteria and a hope that the newly installed space defences will help counter the attack. Whatever stringent plans David develops he, more than anyone, realises that it will probably not be enough to protect us.
Independence Day: Resurgence takes place twenty years after the original movie and sees many of the cast taking up the same role again. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich (known for The Day After Tomorrow, Godzilla and the first Independence Day movie.)
The couple are apparently set to get married after a few years apart.
The wedding is back on! Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been doing some serious re-connecting recently and it seems they are finally ready to tie the knot. It was definitely a sad day when these two decided to call it quits after four years together, but they're older and wiser now and have realised that they want to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

And now anonymous sources have come out of the woodwork to confirm everyone's hopes and suspicions.

It’s only a week to go before Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits theatres, so this weekend was the last chance that any new release had to make an impact in 2015. But sadly for Chris Hemsworth’s In The Heart Of The Sea audiences did not flock to see the whaling adventure, leaving it sinking at the US box.

'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1' looks to have scored with the critics.
There was a little consternation when Lionsgate announced the cash-cow move of splitting Suzanne Collins final book in the Hunger games trilogy into two separate movies. The technique has had varying results in the blockbuster movie world - Deathly Hallows, The Hobbit, Twilight - though it appears Katniss Everdeen's story may have just enough clout to justify two cinema admissions.

Now, with an army at her back, Katniss must change the course of history and bring freedom to the masses through a global armed revolution.

Dressed as a 1999 VMAs-era Lil Kim, the singer held on to a bottle of booze and played tonsil tennis with the Good Charlotte star
Miley Cyrus was the talk of Halloween in one way or another, whether it was her own look and behaviour inspiring a myriad of costumes around the world, or the star herself making headline as she so regularly does. It was her costume - a replica of the boob-exposing jumpsuit worn by Lil Kim at the 1999 VMAs - that initially caused a stir, but soon the events of her night became 'news' worthy too.

The singer attended the Bootsy Bellows' Halloween party in West Hollywood, California, and whilst we don't know exactly what happened inside, we do know that the singer was determined to take the party with her when she left. As she, friends, assistants and her alleged squeeze for the night - Good Charlotte's Benji Madden - got in to the back of an awaiting vehicle, Miley tried to hide herself from view of the cameras as she drove off, but not before being spotted with a bottle of liquor in her hands.
Miley Cyrus latest album was available for streaming yesterday (30th September). Unfortunately for the singer, critics seem to have universally agreed that 'Bangerz' is mediocre.
Miley Cyrus' latest album Bangerz is available for streaming on iTunes, ahead of its official release on October 8th. Tragically for the increasingly bizarre starlet, the album has failed to impress critics. Bangerz has been described as "competent" but generally "mediocre" and "generic" (USA Today).
Miley Cyrus declared herself a "female rebel" on one of the Bangerz tracks.
The album and many of its songs have prompted discussion as to how many of the tracks were inspired by Cyrus' recent split with former fiancé Liam Hemsworth. In an interview with Canada's Fashion Magazine, Cyrus stated 'Drive' was about her troubled relationship with the actor. Speaking to the magazine, she said "I wrote it while I was working on Valentine's Day, emotionally it was such a hard time." Cyrus further explained that the track was "about needing to leave someone but not really wanting to completely cut yourself off from the relationship. It's a time when you want to leave but you can't."

Miley Cyrus considered separating from Liam Hemsworth as early as February of this year. It seems, from a recent interview, that Cyrus wrote a song about the difficulties of being trapped in a troubled relationship.

The interview, which appears in Canada's Fashion Magazine, also includes Cyrus; opinions on fashion, her music and her controversial MTV VMA performance. Cyrus and actor Liam Hemsworth officially ended their yearlong engagement (and three year relationship) on 17th September. Cyrus alluded to difficulties between the couple many months before their official separation.

Even with a three-song set, Miley managed to be among the most discussed acts at iHeartRadio.
Miley Cyrus’ performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival this weekend was a mix of two worlds, what can only be described as an “emotional rollercoaster” (yes, it’s cheesy, but just go with it) for the singer. Her set included just three songs, kicking off with Miley’s take on a party anthem, We Can’t Stop and ended with an extremely emotional rendition of her latest single, Wrecking Ball.
Miley gave a colorful performance at the festival.
Just days after the announcement of her breakup with Liam Hemsworth, the singer gave an emotional performance of her number one iTunes hit. While some chided Cyrus for her revealing outfit (though of course nothing can top her nude video for Wrecking Ball), her vocals were certainly impressive. The singer gave a more powerful performance than we’ve seen from her in a while and, by the end of the song, her voice was audibly cracking, with Sky News reporting that the singer came off stage with her mascara running. Earlier in the day, Cyrus also performed at the iHeart Festival Village. “Viva LAS VEGAS! HERE WE COME!!!!♦️♣️♥️♠️,” the 20-year-old entertainer tweeted the day before with a picture to match the mood.
It's the end - and both Miley and Liam are fine with that.
Just two days after their breakup was made official by People, Liam Hemsworth is well and truly moving on from Miley Cyrus, by letting her keep the engagement ring first of all. The ring, a Neil Lane diamond valued at $100,000, managed to spark a lot of controversy in recent months with its appearance or absence in photos of Cyrus. Is she wearing the ring today? If she isn’t, does that mean they broke up? These questions were on everyone’s mind. Well, ok, maybe not everyone.
Liam is flying solo these days. Sort of.
Now that the engagement is officially off, it looks like Hemsworth – like any man of his word - is letting his former ladylove keep the sparkler, according to a report by RadarOnline.
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have, seemingly, both moved on quickly after breaking the news of their split. The former couple announced the end of their engagement on 16th September, a day later Hemsworth was photographed kissing another woman.

According to E!, the singer is practically the Mexican Miley Cyrus, even appearing on a similar Hannah Montana type show. She recently moved to the US to attempt to break into the US market.

Liam Hemsworth wastes little time getting over his failed engagement to Miley Cyrus as he is caught kissing Mexican beauty Eiza González on Tuesday night.
Liam Hemsworth has been spotted sharing a kiss with Mexican singer-actress Eiza González just one day after breaking off his 15 month engagement with pop singer Miley Cyrus.
The 'Hunger Games' star wasted little time mulling over his failed engagement as he was caught on camera by E!News getting cosy with the Mexican beauty this Tuesday night (Sept 18th 2013) at her apartment complex in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles.
Hemsworth and González, who are both the same age (23), apparently met on a long weekend in Las Vegas according to E!News, who claim they were told "that Liam stopped by her place just after 3:30 p.m. to give her a piece of luggage. Judging by her shorts and sports bra combo, Eiza may have been working out when her visitor arrived", by a 'reliable source'.
In another packed week for news – especially TV – spin-offs for Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead were confirmed, while Ben Affleck responded to the Batman haters and Miley Cyrus split from Liam Hemsworth. Shocker.

The rumors have been flying around for a while. Now they've been proven true.
After a year of tense will-they-won’t-they action, the news has finally been confirmed – Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus have broken up, People reports. Reps for the two stars have confirmed the split for the website. The pair have been together since 2010, when they met on the set of The Last Song and subsequently began dating. They got engaged in 2012 and with Hemsworth starring in one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, The Hunger Games, and Miley diligently working on her new music and her image overhaul, there was no sign of any trouble in paradise at the time.
Miley and Liam haven't been spotted together since the paranoia premiere earlier this year.
However since then, it appears relationship drama – some of it no doubt fueled by tabloid rumors – has taken over. Earlier this year, People reported that the couple had decided to postpone this wedding. Over the summer, Miley was seen around town without her wedding ring and this minor detail was enough to add fuel to the rumors that the wedding was off. Cyrus later denied the breakup rumors on Twitter and was seen in a number of photos once again sporting the 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond. All appeared well once again.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have officially called off their engagement. The former couple's representatives confirmed their separation yesterday (Monday 17th September) whilst speaking to a US entertainment website.
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called their engagement off. The couple's representatives both confirmed their separation on 17th September. The couple had been dating for over three years and were engaged for more than a year.
Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth photographed together in August 2013, a month before they "officially" split up.
The couple had been dating since 2010 after they met on the set of The Last Song, the romance in which they both starred. The couple were together for just under two years before Hemsworth popped the question in May 2012. The life of pre-wedded bliss did not last long however as their wedding was postponed earlier this year. Since the news of the postponement went public, the couple seem to have had an on-again off-again relationship. This was largely based on speculation from media outlets assuming Cyrus' appearances without her engagement ring were proof the couple were separating. Despite the tentative evidence upon which the speculation was based, such reports appear to be founded following confirmation (obtained by People) by the two star's representatives that they have split.

Miley finally steps in to explain and defend the hammer-licking video.
Miley Cyrus was the name on everyone's lips earlier this week after the video to her latest single, 'Wrecking Ball,' was released, debuting a slower song than her last, 'We Can't Stop,' and a very strange video showing the 20 year-old star swinging around on a wrecking ball, smashing things, and running her tongue over a sledge hammer.
Miley Has Turned Head Yet Again With Her Latest 'Wrecking Ball' Song & Vid.
'Wrecking Ball' took YouTube by storm on Monday, piling up 19 million views within its first day and breaking internet records. As word spread that Miley had made another raunchy video, that figure climbed higher.
Miley/Liam fans can relax - there is no trouble in paradise.
Whenever two people are successful, beautiful and usually heterosexual in Hollywood, you can bet the media is going to link them romantically. Case in point: Liam Hemsworth and January Jones. The two have been rumoured to be “getting cozy” on several previous occasions, but the most recent bout of media attention followed an Us Weekly report, which alleged that the Hunger Games actor and the Mad Men star had been getting cozy with one another. However, according to E!News, there is no truth to these reports.
"The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated by US Weekly. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction," the actor's rep told E!
The stunning actress told ELLE magazine recently that she swings both ways, and she is in no way ashamed of her sexual preferences
Amber Heard may be dating one of Hollywood's most sought-after hunks; Johnny Depp, but in spite of this the actress has revealed that she is in no way ready to settle down with her Rum Diaries co-star, as it might interfere with her own desires and preferences. Speaking to ELLE Magazine for their September issue, the blonde bombshell admitted that she feels uncomfortable "fitting in" with any kind of stability in her life, as well as opening up about her bisexuality and discussing her thought-process behind choosing film roles.

"I don't imagine myself, my work, or my life fitting into any kind of standardized path," the star of the upcoming film Paranoia told ELLE, adding, "In fact, the idea of there even being a standard freaks me out a lot."

'The Hunger Games' star Liam Hemsworth signs autographs and poses for pictures with fans as he arrives outside 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' studios. Paparazzi call for him to stop and pose for pictures before he goes inside but he just flashes them a peace sign before heading into the building.
Miley Cyrus gave 'Paranoia' a nice little publicity boost this week.
The stars were out in force for the Paranoia premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday evening (August 8, 2013) and when we say stars we mean Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth - the star of the movie.

Publicists behind the movie were probably doing handstands after learning of Miley's intended appearance, given the speculation over the couple's relationship.

The Hunger Games at Comic Con gave fans a chance to catch a glimpse of the new cast, but most importantly, it marked the release of the new trailer so we can finally take a proper look at the second instalment of the thrilling trilogy. Check it out below (right at the bottom).
Jennifer Lawrence in Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Based on the novels of Suzanne Collins, the trilogy consists of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. It tells the story of 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) who takes the place of her younger sister Prim in the 74th Hunger Games – a form of entertainment for the Capitol, which sees contestants fight to the death.
The panel was one of the main events at SDCC this weekend.
Katniss Everdeen is back at Comic-Con and it’s nothing, if not intense. The Friday Lionsgate panel revealed the second theatrical trailer for Catching Fire mere minutes after the clip was released online. The panel was shared between Catching Fire and Lionsgate’s other upcoming feature – I, Frankenstein. It’s not hard to guess which preview ended up stealing the show. And while we got a sense of the intensity, the scope and the drama of this film in the first trailer, this one shows gives fans an idea of the true magnitude of the rebellion and the 75th Hunger Games – the two main plot developments in Catching Fire.
J-Law has been the talk of the town ever since the first Hunger Games film.
The trailer makes it abundantly clear – with previous victors competing in the arena, this year’s Games are going to be something else entirely. “I think these games are gonna be different,” Woody Harrelson, as Katniss’ and Peeta’s grizzled mentor Haymitch Abernathy, says. “Last year was child’s play. This year you're dealing with all experienced killers.”
Announcements galore from the Hunger Games camp!
A new cast update for The Hunger Games trilogy states that Julianne Moore is set to join the team for the third installment in the franchise – Mockingjay. According to a report by Deadline, nothing is set in stone, but Lionsgate – the production company behind the adaptations – as well as director Francis Lawrence have their sights set on the Oscar-winner for a part in the third movie. The role she is being considered for is that of President Alma Coin – a manipulative rebel leader, who uses the protagonist Katniss Everdeen for her own fanatical goals.
Moore might be the latest addition to the cast.
Obviously, casting an actress of Moore’s caliber could add a whole new layer of depth to the character, however, nothing is certain yet. Meanwhile, most of the original cast members will be returning for the third film – Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutchenson and Liam Hemsworth will all be back in the next installment to hit theatres – Catching Fire.
Miley Cyrus spoke out in the wake of family problems, rumours about her failing relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth and her record breaking new single "We Can't Stop".
Miley Cyrus, in an interview on Good Morning America today (26th June), talked about her steady love life with actor Liam Hemsworth (brother of Thor actor Chris Hemsworth), her latest single "We Can't Stop" and what it means to her and her generation. Her parent's marriage may be failing: her father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from Miley's mother Tish, but she insists her relationship with Hemsworth is still going well.
Miley Cyrus at a MySpace event in L.A.
Rumours circulating in March implied the singer's relationship with the actor was in dire straits as she was seen without her engagement ring. On Good Morning America, she retorted to the interviewer's question regarding her relationship with "I'm wearing a ring so." The singer on those who dislike her as a musician and as a celebrity said rather stoically, although with a distinct lack of eloquence, that "haters are gonna hate, but haters are also going to click on your YouTube video just to watch it so I don't really care".
The singer is casting off her 'Best Of Both Worlds' image because she '...Can't Stop' enjoying life as a twenty-year-old
Miley Cyrus really wants to cast off the shackles that being a Disney princess put her in, with the singer becoming increasingly more 'mature' with her musical output and with what she says in interviews. Sorry to break it to you Cyrus, but whenever you say that you smoke weed or enjoy partying your not making yourself stand-out as a rebellious twenty-something, you're just acting like any other person your age.
Speaking with Rolling Stone this week, the singer and actress said, "I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care," going on to argue, "I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."
A valid and - given the increased about of pro-weed legislation floating around American politics - relevant comment to be making at the current time, however her new direction has understandably generated a backlash against the singer and her new single 'We Can't Stop,' with some commenting that she is beginning to isolate and could prove to be a bad influence on some of her younger fans. Still the Hannah Montana star was quick to defend herself in the interview, saying, "I can't sing 'We Can't Stop' and then be some shy, closed-off person. The reason I never really loved acting was because you can't be yourself. I don't want to be an actor -- I want to be an artist."
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire may not be getting released in cinemas for at least another year, but that doesn't mean that fans of the franchise aren't eagerly awaiting every forward motion the films take, as the reaction to the unveiling of the poster for the next film in the series has shown.
The artwork for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire gives very little away, with only a flaming version of the Mockingjay pin that appears so frequently throughout the series being on display. Still, that hasn't stopped people from trying to decipher whether it may give anything that will reveal what we can expect from the new film. Of course, for the people who have read the book, there will be no need to do this as they should have a pretty good idea of what is going to happen.
The sequel to the hugely successful Hunger Games once again stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, alongside Hollywood stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. New cast members include the Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee and Jena Malone as Johanna Mason. It hits cinemas worldwide on November 22, 2012.

Lionsgate announced Thursday that Francis Lawrence will direct The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, and will hope to build on the $700m already gleaned by the series so far, USA Today reports.
Lawrence - the creative mind behind Water for Elephants and I Am Legend - is currently working on the second chapter, Catching Fire, which opens next year, Nov. 22, 2013. The next two Mockingjay films to follow in November 2014 and November 2015. Lionsgate will be hoping their decision to stick with consistency will pay off, as the opportunity to select another director, should the next chapter fail to impress, may prove difficult if contracts are signed. It will be a busy few years for Lawrence, as he's already enlisted in the edit for Catching Fire, which will involve him being involved in two projects at once. Fans will hope editing Catching Fire while preparing to shoot Mockingjay wont hinder either of their beloved films.
Meanwhile, on the set of Catching Fire, Liam Hemsworth, who plays Gale Hawthorne, told USA TODAY last month that he had twisted his knee doing a fighting stunt: "There's a bunch of action in this one," Hemsworth said. "All of the characters have more action than they did in the first one."

Miley Cyrus was "absolutely right" when she suggested the Jonas Brothers' song 'Wedding Bells' was about her, according to the man who wrote it! Nick Jonas - a former boyfriend of Miley - has reacted to comments she made about the song "blatantly" being about her impending nuptials.
This week, Ryan Seacrest point-blank asked Nick if the song was about Cyrus, to which he quickly confirmed, "[Miley's] absolutely right. When you're with someone who's an artist, it's just about being open and honest about the fact that your life is what you have to write about sometimes, and pull from your life inspiration." So there you have it. It seems Nick got the song-writing bug after hearing of Miley and Liam Hemsworth's engagement. He might have three more songs in the works given recent tabloid rumors concerning the couple's wedding. According to Star magazine, Miley is planning three wedding ceremonies in total, one in Los Angeles, one in her native Tennessee, and another in Melbourne, Australia, where Liam is originally from.
Miley is currently working on her forthcoming album, while Hemsworth is currently shooting The Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire, set for release in November 2013.
Continue reading: Miley Cyrus Is "absolutely Right" About Wedding Bells, Says Nick Jonas
Miley Cyrus told Ryan Seacrest today (18th Oct. 2012) that she considers it 'blatant' that the Jonas Brothers' song 'Wedding Bells' is about her. Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus dated for over a year back in 2006-7. Since then however, Cyrus began dating Liam Hemsworth, who found his fame in The Hunger Games, and have since got engaged!
Speaking to Seacrest the actress/singer is adamant the song is about her, MTV reports: "I don't know who else is getting married. ... So I feel like that's pretty blatant, it's whatever. Like I said, everyone has to write songs that are about things that they felt and he even introduced that this isn't the way that I am." She said, "You can't ever hate on someone for writing about something you've been through. I think that you kind of get a fair warning when you date an artist and someone that's a writer. When you're going through things that you're going to end up hearing about it on the radio. I don't know...wedding bells are in my future, so I don't know."
With lyrics such as "She says, can you keep a secret / A ceremony set for June/ I know it's a rush but I just love him so much/ I hope that you can meet him soon" we can see why Miley might think the song is about her- but she certainly hasn't kept either her relationship or engagement a secret. Since Cyrus, Nick has dated another actress and singer, Australian Delta Goodrem. The couple broke up earlier this year- perhaps her engagement is the secret the Jonas Bros. song refers to? I guess we'll either have to wait and find out, or be content never knowing.

And when things go wrong, Barney leads the gang on a grisly revenge mission against a nasty villain (Van Damme) who's callously putting humanity in peril. Along the way they're joined by Church and Trench (Schwarzenegger), and get help from lone-wolf Booker (Norris).

In what was once North America, the ruling class demands an annual sacrifice of the 12 districts that once rebelled: each must select two teens, a boy and a girl, to battle in a wooded arena to the death, with the last one standing crowned victor. In the poor mining District 12, the tributes are ace archer Katniss (Lawrence) and muscly baker Peeta (Hutcherson), who forge an awkward friendship as they're thrust into the televised competition. Trained by Haymitch (Harrelson), promoted by Effie (Banks), groomed by Cinna (Kravitz), interviewed by Caesar (Tucci) - it's simply overwhelming.
