British rocker Liam Gallagher is refusing to allow allegations he fathered a love child to overshadow his summer after heading to Ibiza for a carefree vacation.

The former Oasis frontman was seen sipping cocktails and partying with pals around a pool at a hotel on the Spanish island as his private life is engulfed in controversy.

A spokesman for the star has confirmed Gallagher's lawyers are preparing to launch legal action against the New York Post after editors reported he is being sued by a woman who claims he fathered her daughter.

The article alleged Gallagher is the unnamed respondent in a case listed only as 'Anonymous Vs Anonymous' which came before a judge at Manhattan Family Court on 12 July (13).

The woman at the centre of the case is said to be New York music reporter Liza Ghorbani, who interviewed the star back in 2010. She gave birth to a baby girl in January (13).

Despite the swirling speculation, Gallagher has been enjoying the sun in Ibiza, and was snapped relaxing around a pool at the Pikes hotel in San Antonio on Thursday (18Jul13) after his band Beady Eye performed at the Ibiza Rocks event the previous night (17Jul13).

A defiant Gallagher made light of the claims when quizzed in Spain by a reporter from Britain's The Sun newspaper, saying, "I'm not suing anyone. I'm working here."
