The Baby hitmaker sparked outrage during his trip to the U.K. last month (Mar13) when he took to the stage for a show at London's O2 Arena two hours behind schedule, forcing many parents to take young fans home before the concert had even started.
However, former Oasis star Gallagher is adamant Bieber was merely confirming his status as a superstar by refusing to play by the rules, and he urges critics to "get off his back".
The rocker tells ShortList magazine, "Anyone who goes on two hours late is f**king right in my book, man. All these so-called rock bands that sit backstage going, 'Hey, let's wait 15 minutes'. F**k that, wait two hours and 15 minutes! No one will beat that, ever. So get off his back, man - I am a Belieber!... I've got his f**king back, man."
Gallagher's brother Noel previously criticised Bieber for disappointing so many impressionable young fans by turning up late, as his 13-year-old daughter Anais was among those kept waiting.
