Former BAY CITY ROLLERS singer Les Mckeown appeared in court today (24JAN06) accused of conspiring to supply cocaine.

The 50-year-old Scottish star, who shot to fame in the 1970s with hits such as BYE BYE BABY, allegedly conspired with former bandmember Patrick Mcglynn, 47, and accomplice Alistair Murray to supply 495 grams (17 ounces) of the illegal drug on 17 May (05).

All three men deny the charges. The prosecution will open its case at Basildon Crown Court in Essex, England in due course.
