Leonardo Dicaprio has slammed rumours that he used a body double to film sex scenes in upcoming film 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.
Leonardo Dicaprio has denied using a body double to film sex scenes in 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.
The 39-year-old star plays stockbroker swindler Jordan Belfort in the upcoming Martin Scorsese movie and insists he showed off his own body during steamy moments with co-star Margot Robbie.
During an interview with Extra, the actor revealed: ''It's all me, pal.
''Look, when you do a character like this, you have to go all out. You can't pull any punches. You have to swing for the fences. Hopefully people enjoy it.''
'The Wolf of Wall Street' features a number of risque scenes, including one where many of the actors had to bare all and another featuring DiCaprio with a dominatrix and a candle.
He jokingly added: ''All the flopping around, it was all me.''
The actor also stressed the importance of showing the decadent nature of the crazed capitalist.
He continued: ''When you take on a character like this, you want to accurately reflect the nature of who these people are.
''You just gotta do it. You can't think about yourself because it's not me. It's a depiction of somebody else.''
The star also spoke in-depth about his character and said he became attached to the role.
He added: ''The man is portraying the darker nature of himself in his own biography. I became obsessed with playing him because I felt he kinda represented all that is wrong with America today.
''This is the second project in my life that I kinda stuck with for over six years and had been obsessed playing.
''One of them was Howard Hughes in The Aviator, and that was another almost eight-year process to actually make into a film.''
'The Wolf of Wall Street' opens in cinemas on Christmas Day (25.12.13).
