Hollywood actor Leonardo Dicaprio has been tipped to play Hugh Hefner is the forthcoming biopic of the Playboy founder's life.
DiCaprio is considered to be a long-term friend of Hefner and a regular visitor to his elaborate Playboy mansion in Los Angeles.
Media outlets have quoted an unnamed source as saying: "Leo and Hugh have been friends for a long time and Leo has always been interested in Hugh's life story.
"Leo thinks it would make a great movie and Hugh would love Leo to do it - on condition Hugh is alive to see it."
The 81-year-old runs the Playboy empire which incorporates the famous magazine and its offshoots.
DiCaprio has played a number of famous figures in biographical films, including Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can and Howard Hughes in The Aviator.
He first shot to fame in Titanic and more recently starred in the Academy award-winning The Departed, directed by Martin Scorsese.
