Leonardo Dicaprio missed out on the chance to celebrate President-elect Barack Obama's historical victory - because he was busy promoting his new film.
Obama was voted in as the U.S.'s 44th President last Tuesday (04Nov08) but DiCaprio, who has vehemently supported the Democrat, was in Europe to promote forthcoming movie Body Of Lies - which meant he wasn't able to join in any victory celebrations.
He says, "I was in Rome for the Body Of Lies premiere when he won. I didn't get the chance to go to any parties."
But DiCaprio didn't let the occasion go by unmarked.
He adds, "I stayed up all night in my room watching the news until the results came in and Obama got up to make his acceptance speech. Luckily I'm travelling with some American friends, so I wasn't entirely alone."
