It was a night filled with big name duets at the annual Global Citizen Fest.
Ed Sheeran must have felt like he was dreaming on Saturday night, when he got to join Beyonce onstage at the 2015 Global Citizen Festival for a duet of her hit song ‘Drunk in Love’. Sheeran frequently covers the track but this was the first time he had performed his stripped down acoustic version with Queen Bey herself.
Ed Sheeran joined Beyonce at this year’s Global Citizen Fest.
Beyonce brought out Sheeran mid-way through her set which had already included Destiny’s Child classics and a remix of ‘Crazy in Love’. But the New York crowd went wild for the Sheeran duet, which was a highlight of the already star studded festival.

Could this be the film that provides the 40-year-old actor with that elusive Oscar?
Leonardo Dicaprio has rarely put a foot wrong throughout his illustrious movie career. Even those who sit in the dislike camp of Titanic are regularly outdone by the numbers who strongly sit on the like side. Unfortunately, there is still one thing missing from Leo’s artistic collection: an Oscar. Could The Revenant be the film to right that wrong?
This trailer certainly suggests it has as good a chance as any.
Hugh Glass is a skilled hunter, experienced in trapping some of the most predatory of beasts in the American West in order to claim their fur. However, it all goes wrong one day when he and his three friends and companions John Fitzgerald, Andrew Henry and Jim Bridger are travelling some untouched territory. They are confronted by a bear who wastes no time in viciously attacking Glass, leaving the other three men to flee without a second glance. Unfortunately for them, Glass is not dead after his mauling, and he's not happy about being left for dead by the people he's supposed to be able to trust. Determined to survive on his own even as a particularly bitter winter sets in, he just wants to find the cowards that betrayed him and take revenge.

Playing a man with 24 different personalities is a sure fire way to score an Oscar....right?
Leonardo Dicaprio really wants an Oscar doesn't he? He really wants an Oscar. He probably hasn't deserved an Oscar yet, though you've got to feel a little sorry for the guy. As if to rub salt in the wounds, Matthew McConaughey turned up in The Wolf of Wall Street, banged his chest for a bit, stole the movie and then beat Leo at the Oscars for another movie.
Leonardo DiCaprio will play Billy Milligan in The Crowded Room
Now, DiCaprio has signed on for what could potentially be his most interesting movie yet and certainly a role that has Oscars written all over it. The actor will star in The Crowded Room, about the real-life tale of a man acquitted of rape and robbery after convincing a jury that he had 24 different personalities.

Leonardo Dicaprio could be facing his most challenging role yet. The 40-year-old actor is set to play Billy Milligan in The Crowded Room. DiCaprio will have to play 24 separate characters as Milligan suffered from multiple personality disorder. The project has been long in the making as DiCaprio first expressed his interest in playing the role in 1997 but the film was shelved for more than a decade. Now, with DiCaprio's production company Appian Way and New Regency, the project has been revived.

October 9th release date for the Boyle / Sorkin collaboration, just in time for awards season.
The troubled Steve Jobs biopic has finally announced a theatrical release date of October 9th this year. Strangely enough, that’s exactly the kind of time that judges start to think about awards nominations…
Shooting for the film, which has been the centre of a great deal of speculation because of its lengthy gestation and uncertain funding, began last month in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Danny Boyle, the man behind cult favourites such as Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire and 28 Days Later, as well as the London Olympics opening ceremony in 2012, is in the director’s chair.

Leonardo DiCaprio is currently starring as a mythic fur trapper and frontiersman in Alejandro González Iñárritu's follow up to 'Birdman'.
'Birdman' still has yet to open in some countries and already has multiple Academy Award nominations. One of these nomination is a 'Best Director' nod for Alejandro González Iñárritu, which will certainly help with his upcoming film's promotion. Said film is already in production, as it happens, and its premise alone is about as far away from 'Birdman' as you can get.
Leonardo Dicaprio as the mythic trapper John Glass in 'The Revenant'
'The Revenant' is based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Michael Punke, and follows the story of American fur trapper Hugh Glass, who was injured by a grizzly bear on a hunt, and left for dead by his fellow trappers. After coming to and discovering that he had suffered horrific wounds before being left 200 miles from civilisation, Glass was forced to crawl that distance through an area of disputed land that various Native American tribes were fighting over. All the time, Glass was unarmed, alone, and close to death from his wounds. And if you haven't guessed by now, yes, it is based on a true story.

Several news outlets reported earlier this week that the couple had finally taken the leap last Saturday at Chateau Miraval – their home in France.

Orlando Bloom may have got the first punch in, but who wants the second?
We're pretty sure that Orlando Bloom has managed to win over a good few thousand more fans after striking a fierce blow in the direction of Justin Bieber's head, but we can think of quite a few other stars who wouldn't mind a go either.
Come and have a go!
The story goes that Bieber met the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor at Cipriani restaurant in Miami where he extended a hand which Bloom did not shake. Then things start to get a bit sketchy: some sources claim he said, 'She was good' to Bloom, in reference to his alleged relationship with his ex-wife Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr, while TMZ claims Bieber shouted 'What's up, bitch?' at the actor. Either way, eyewitnesses reveal Bloom threw a good punch at the singer - to most of the audience's utter delight by the sound of things - though it still isn't clear whether or not any damage was caused.

Robert Downey Jr. has topped Forbes Magazine's annual list of Top Earners in Hollywood for the second year in a row.
With an estimated income of $75 million between June 2013 and June 2014, Downey Jr. shows that he's somewhat similar to his onscreen counterpart, billionaire superhero Tony Stark. 2014 has actually been a fairly quiet year for Downey Jr. considering there is no Marvel blockbuster hitting our screens (featuring him, at any rate) but he still managed to maintain his spot at the top.
It's been another great year for Robert Downey Jr.

If it wasn't about Cleary, what could have driven Andrew Stern to suicide?
Andrew Stern, the husband of former America’s Next Top Model contestant Katie Cleary committed suicide earlier this week. According to the police, via TMZ, Stern shot himself in the head at a shooting range in San Fernando Valley. It happened on Sunday night. Stern, 40, had been married to Cleary for four years and the couple was reportedly going through a rough patch.
Cleary's publicist has denied the rumours of her infidelity.
The suicide is now being linked in various tabloid reports to Cleary’s recent trip to Cannes. While there, she was photographed with Leonardo Dicaprio and Entourage’s Adrian Grenier. Katie’s rep, speaking for the Daily Mail, insisted that both conversations were completely innocent - Cleary and Grenier had been friends for sometime, while she and DiCaprio were having an innocent chat about animal conservation. The picture was taken at a nightclub.
The model’s 40 year old husband was found dead over the weekend due to an apparent suicide.
The tragic story of Katie Cleary’s husband Andrew Stern has taken an all too unfortunate tabloid turn over the past 24hours, as actor Leonardo Dicaprio has found his name unfairly linked to the tragedy. Days after the news of Andrew's death broke, TMZ began speculating that his wife's friendship with the actor may have been factor in his descision to end his own life.
Cleary and Stern had been married since 2010
On Sunday, entrepreneur Andrew Stern was found dead at a California shooting range, reportedly from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Stern had been married to model Katie, who’s best known for her appearances on ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and ‘Deal or No Deal’, since 2010, but the couple were said to have been separated for some months.
The 39 year-old actor has vowed to donate the very large sum of money "to meaningful ocean conservation projects over the next two years,” in order to aid the protection of our earth's oceans.
Leonardo Dicaprio is a very generous man!
The 39 year-old actor has guaranteed that he will donate $7 million to marine conversation efforts that work to protect the earth's oceans, the Washington Post reports.
News of the hefty give-away was announced at a State Department conference in Washington D.C. on Tuesday morning (June 17th), when DiCaprio reached out to all world leaders to also take immediate action.
