After selling out a string of UK gigs in September, the returning Ryan Adams has been added to next month's iTunes Festival in London joining the previously announced headliners Maroon 5, Sam Smith and 5 Seconds of SummerAs well as Adams, Jessie Ware and Lenny Kravitz will play the ever-popular festival.

"I'm really excited about my new album, Strut, and playing the festival this year, as well as working with iTunes," Kravitz said in a statement. "Looking forward to seeing everybody at the show next month!"

Elsewhere, Guy Garvey and Elbow will be heading to the Roundhouse in Camden, as will Jenny Lewis and Foxes. The festival stretches from September 2-27. The other new additions are: Clean Bandit, Robin Schulz, Charlie Simpson, Luke Sital-Singh, SOHN, Matthew Koma, Paolo Nutini, David Gray, The Script, Gregory Porter, Eric Whitacre, Rudimental, Jess Glynne, First Aid Kit and MNEK.

Ryan Adams will release his self-titled fourteenth album on September 8. The record was produced by Adams at his Pax AM Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Despite often being dubbed one of the most prolific songwriters in the business, the album is Ryan's first for three years.
