Lenny Kravitz is set to join the ranks of TV talent show judges with a role on the upcoming British version of The Voice, according to a U.K. report.
The singing contest is already a hit Stateside with Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton on the panel, and TV bosses are preparing to bring the show to Britain with new judges.
British pop star Cheryl Cole, who exited America's The X Factor earlier this year (11), is already rumoured to have been approached, and Kravitz is also on producers' list, according to the Sunday Mirror.
A source tells the U.K. publication, "They want Lenny for The Voice and he's close to saying yes. They want the show to be credible - not full of pop people who don't sing live and don't know the industry. And they don't want to make mistakes with the casting. So they must have thought long and hard before approaching Lenny.... When we got the rights to The Voice we assured people we would assemble a panel of great singers and credible recording artists. Lenny is both of those things."
