Rocker Lenny Kravitz has unveiled the source of influence for his
individual sense of style - his late mother's closet.
The DIG IN singer admits he spent a lot of time playing in his actress
mother Roxie Roker's wardrobe whenever he had the chance to - and it helped
shape his unique taste in fashion.
He says, "When my mom used to go out when I was a kid, I'd go in her
closet. It was like the '70s. My mom's closet was laid out - boots, jackets,
hats and chains and all this stuff.
"She'd go out and I'd play in her closet - not the dresses! Not that I
wouldn't wear a dress, but you know what I'm saying!"
And Kravitz insists his tastes in clothes developed extremely early,
adding,"People sort of wonder if I'm putting this on, but then I show them
pictures of myself when I was in, like, second grade and I had the big sleeves
and the chain! Same
But now life has taken an ironic twist for Kravitz - his 15-year-old
daughter ZOE has started wearing a lot of his clothes.
