Boxing aces Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson are set to do battle in Los Angeles this summer (03) - but against other opponents.

The heavyweight pair fought each other in Tennessee last year (02) with Lewis walking away victorious.

TIM LEIWEKE, president of the Staples Center, says the 21 June (03) bouts could be announced to take place at the venue as soon as Thursday (24APR03) is negotiations maintain their course.

Heavyweight champ Lewis and Tyson have yet to formally appear on the same card or select opponents but appear to be on the verge on an agreement.

Lewis has been negotiating to fight KIRK JOHNSON while pursuing legal action to prevent boxing organisation the WORLD BOXINGCOUNCIL (WBC) from stripping him of his belt for refusing to fight number one contender VITALI KLITSCHKO, although both fighters remain possible opponents.

Tyson's manager SHELLY FINKEL says the former champ will probably fight OLEG MASKAEV.
