The Obama’s eldest daughter is said to be interested in filmmaking.
Barack Obama’s eldest daughter Malia has landed what sounds like a dream job for most 17 year olds, working on the set of HBO series ‘Girls’. The 17 year old, who celebrated her birthday yesterday, is said to be interested in pursuing a career in TV or film after she graduates next year.
Lena Dunham will be keeping Malia busy this summer.
Malia was spotted by TMZ hanging out on the set of ‘Girls’ on Thursday. The President’s daughter was pictured sipping a soft drink while the series filmed on location in Brooklyn hipster restaurant, Aurora Ristorante.
The ‘Girls’ star looks to be asking boyfriend Jack Antonoff to put a ring on it after gay marriage was legalised across the United States.
After Friday’s landmark Supreme Court ruling which saw gay marriage legalised across the United States, 'Girls' actress Lena Dunham decided to take the opportunity to drop a not very subtle hint towards her boyfriend of three years, musician Jack Antonoff.

‘Woke up to learn that love is free! Thank you to all those who fought so hard to make this historic moment happen,’ Dunham tweeted on Friday morning. ‘Weddings are about to get a lot less boring. Let's use this victory as a reminder to keep pushing for equality on every frontier. We have the power!’
Lena Dunham, rocking out with the best of them.
Lena Dunham, everybody. The Girls creator guested on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Friday night and it served as the perfect occasion to bring back... wait for it... LIP SYNC BATTLE. Oh yeah! The two battled against each other over eight minutes, with Fallon trying his lips at Charlene’s “I’ve Never Been to Me” and RUN-DMC’s “Run’s House” and Dunham taking on Calvin Harris’ “Outside” (feat. Ellie Goulding) and Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls.”
Who knew Lena Dunham had so much diva in her?
Recently, Fallon has branched out and created a full show, based on his most successful skit. The show, aptly named Lip Sync Battle is hosted by LL Cool J and airs on Spike TV. But Dunham wanted to go back to the source to find a platform for her – rather impressive – lip syncing talents.
Sarah Palin has attacked Lena Dunham.
Sarah Palin has attacked the Girls creator Lena Dunham, dubbing her a "paedophile" for comments she made in her memoir Not That Kind of Girl. Dunham had written that as a 7-year-old girl she gave candy to her 1-year-old sister in exchange for a look at her vagina.

Taylor Swift ft. Kendrick Lamar was not a combination we ever thought we'd see, but with their collaboration on 'Bad Blood' - alongside a host of other celebrities in the hotly anticipated video - seems this pop starlet is ever expanding her much-loved sound.

There might be a whole action movie vibe to the video, which opened at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards yesterday (May 17th 2015), but there's not much to it in terms of plot. It opens with Catastrophe (Taylor Swift) and Arsyn (Selena Gomez) seemingly working together to defeat a horde of masked assassins, before Arsyn - with her eyes on the prize - takes out Catastrophe too. Then she finds herself at Welvin Da Great's (Kendrick Lamar) headquarters being - for want of a better word - 'repaired' by The Trinity (Hailee Steinfeld x3) before rallying her army of scantily clad beauties to go against her newfound enemy.

'Bad Blood' is getting its premiere at the Billboard Music Awards this Sunday, and it looks like we're in for a treat judging by Swift's Instagram page!
Taylor Swift has been teasing what looks like a pretty special video for ‘Bad Blood’ ahead of its debut next week. Over the last three days, the singer has been uploading some kick-ass looking Sin City-style posters casting herself and some of her friends as a team of superheroes.
On May 7th, Swift posted a noir-ish looking picture of herself on her Instagram page, dressed in a leather motorcycle-style jacket and looking straight down the camera, with the words “Taylor Swift starring as ‘Catastrophe’. The picture also contained the words “Bad Blood” with the tagline “Band-Aids Don’t Fix Bullet Holes”, in the style of a movie poster.

Cynthia Nixon plays a 'Sex and the City' naming game in a recent TV interview.
Appearing on the chat show 'Watch What Happens Live!' last Thursday (30 April), Cynthia Nixon was asked by host Andy Cohen to suggest which 'Sex and the City' characters a variety of famous faces would be. And the results were certainly interesting: the actress was quick to name Queen Elizabeth II as Charlotte, both Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama as Carries, and Beyonce as Samantha.
Cynthia Nixon still keeps in touch with all the 'Sex and the City' ladies
But who does Cynthia think would make a good Miranda, the feisty lawyer she played in the popular HBO series? She reckons Hillary Clinton, Lena Dunham and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would all be a good fit. And then there's Gandhi, who would be - who else - Mr Big, according to Cynthia.

The show's creator recently explained how the frequent sex scenes are often used as a quick way to inform the viewers of any plot changes.
The award-winning HBO series 'Girls,' which follows a group of friends in their early 20's living in New York City, is known for frequently depicting the awkward and sometimes romantic sex lives of the show's characters.
Dunham defends the frequent sex scenes in 'Girls'

The actress took to the Oscars to convince reporters to ask female celebrities more interesting questions.
Reese Witherspoon took to the 2015 Oscars to promote a new feminist campaign #AskHerMore, a movement created to encourage reporters to put more career centric questions to female celebrities on the red carpet, rather than just asking about their designer gowns.
Reese Witherspoon brings #AskHerMore campaign to the Oscars
We think we have a new favourite celebrity feminist. If it wasn't enough for Witherspoon to take on such an inspiring feminine role in her latest movie 'Wild'; a film based on the memoirs of Cheryl Strayed, a first time hiker who walked 1,100 miles along the Pacific Crest Trail in a journey of self-discovery; she is now encouraging other actresses and celebrities to want more from their public appearances. The star took to Instagram with a list of questions she hoped to hear as she appeared on the red carpet at the Oscars, including 'What's the biggest risk you've taken that you feel has paid off?' and 'What accomplishment are you most proud of?'.
