Leighton Meester's mother Constance has had a temporary restraining order placed on her by a Los Angeles judge.
Leighton Meester's mother has had a temporary restraining order put on her.
Constance Meester - who gave birth to the 'Gossip Girl' star while serving time in Fort Worth prison, Texas, for her role in a drug smuggling ring - is accused of making threats to kill against California woman Laurel Wigg.
A Los Angeles judge granted the request that Constance stay away because she "is an addict and has made a threat to kill", with Laurel claiming Leighton's mother threatened to "hunt down and kill" her and her son in January.
She is also accused of saying she was going to "f**k us up".
It is not known under what circumstances the threats were made, but in court documents it is revealed the son and Constance's child "go to the same school".
The restraining order will remain in place until 10 February, 2012.
Leighton, 24, has previously revealed her "eccentric" mother was an inspiration for her because of the backing she gave when she said she wanted to become an actress.
She said: "My mother Connie inspires me. She's an amazing woman. When I was a kid I wanted to be an actress and she completely backed me. She is her own person, very eccentric, very individual."
