Since it was revealed that a mere handful of female artists were scattered across the Reading & Leeds Festival line-up and the fast majority were male musicians, feminist music lovers have been expressing their annoyance that festival organisers still can't manage a gender-balanced line-up in 2020 - a time when gender equality issues are at their most prominent.

The first announcement for the line-up of Reading & Leeds Festival 2018 has finally arrived, with Kendrick Lamar, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco and Kings Of Leon headlining the three-day event. Fifty acts across several stages, with many more yet to be announced for the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Leading Friday's line-up in Reading and Saturday's in Leeds is Fall Out Boy, who dropped their seventh studio album 'Mania' in January; another US number one that included the single 'Young and Menace'. They'll be joined by the likes of Post Malone, Wolf Alice, Nothing But Thieves, Annie Mac, Mist and The Blaze.

Liam Gallagher Leads New Additions For Reading And Leeds Festival 2017 Line-Up

More than 90 names have been added to the already stellar line-up for Reading & Leeds Festival 2017, with Britpop legend Liam Gallagher heading up the new arrivals in a UK Festival Exclusive. He'll be joining the already announced headliners Kasabian, Eminem and Muse on the main stage.

Also added on the main stage line-up are Massachusetts rockers PVRIS who are on their way with their second record, Def Jam talent Vince Staples, drum and bass legend Goldie, garage band VANT, Scottish duo Honeyblood and 'Lies' hitmakers Deap Vally.

The Libertines Announce Week Of Small Shows Following Triumphant Reading Set


The Libertines Pete Doherty Carl Barat Ed Harcourt Leeds & Reading Festival

The Libertines have announced a string of small live dates to celebrate the release of their new album Anthems For Doomed Youth on September 11th. The band will play five shows over the course of the week, with the first taking place on Monday (September 6th) at the Academy in Glasgow.

The LibertinesThe Libertines, Carl Barat and Peter Doherty at Leeds Festival.

They will then hit Nottingham’s Rock City on September 7th, followed by Bristol’s O2 Academy, then London’s Electric Ballroom before finishing on September 11th at Manchester’s Ritz. The small shows are the band’s first club gigs since 2004.

Tyler, The Creator Says He's Banned From Entering The UK For "3-5 Years"

The often controversial rapper Tyler, The Creator has claimed that his shows at the Reading and Leeds Festivals had to be cancelled because he is temporarily banned from entering the United Kingdom.

The American star, who is in the middle of a solo tour having founded the hip-hop collective Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (often simply referred to as Odd Future), says he is not allowed to enter the UK for “three to five years” because of “lyrics written in 2009”, writing on Twitter on Wednesday night (August 26th).
