'Glee' actress Lea Michele will play a waitress in her ''favourite'' show 'Sons of Anarchy' in its forthcoming final season.
Lea Michele is to guest star in 'Sons of Anarchy'.
The 'Glee' actress has signed up for a cameo role in the final season of the biker drama and couldn't be happier to be making an appearance on her ''favourite'' programme.
She tweeted: ''Woke up so excited today! Fun news to share...
''I'll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar & @sutterink #SOAFX (sic)''
FX went on to reveal to MTV News that the brunette beauty will portray Gertie, an ''empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma during a difficult time.''
Show creator Kurt Sutter recently revealed the 'Rock is Dead' hitmaker - who
will play ''a white supremacist prison shot-caller'' named Ron Tully - was desperate for a role.
He said: ''Manson, I became friends with through some music buddies. He's a huge fan of the show. That was him just wearing me down. We found a great role for him and he's great.''
Kurt admitted he loves casting ''outside the box'' and the decision to hire Courtney to play a teacher in the upcoming series fitted perfectly with the ''fun'' he looks for in his cast.
He said: ''I tend to do this every season, I like to do some casting that's a little bit outside the box, from Stephen King to David Hasselhoff. We try to do stuff that's fun.
''Courtney I don't know as well [as Manson]. I got to meet her a couple times and I was a huge Nirvana fan. We had this role of a school teacher and I thought, 'Who better than Courtney Love?' It sort of fits into our parameters of 'Sons of Anarchy' casting.''
