Lea Michele was stunned when she was asked to be the new face of L'Oreal.
The 'Glee' actress follows in the footsteps of the likes of Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, Cheryl Cole and Penelope Cruz by representing the French brand but says she never expected she would be offered it because she's not a ''typical beauty''.
She told WWD: ''Growing up I was never really considered the typical beauty. So the fact that I'm now the face of such an incredible company and brand is so awesome - that they would look at me and consider me is unbelievable.''
Lea also believes one of the reasons she was chosen is because women can relate to her.
She added: ''I think I have a type of look that is very relatable, that's different and unique that girls can look at and say, 'I feel like I look like her.' ''
Lea, 26, has previously talked about her refusal to alter her natural beauty, saying: ''When I was 15 a manager said, 'You have to get a nose job in order for me to work with you.' My mother would say to me, 'Barbara Streisand never got a nose job. You're not getting a nose job.'''
