The Glee actress turned 28 on Friday (29th August) and spent the evening celebrating with a group of at least four girlfriends including actress Once Upon A Time actress Joanna Garcia, Women's Murder Club actress Aubrey Dollar, boutique owner Jennifer Cohen, and TV executive Stephanie Herman.
Michele said her friends were the "best girlfriends in the world":
Michele shared pictures from her special day on Twitter and Instagram and looked radiant in a simple but elegant navy blue dress. She posed for photographs with her girlfriends and when blowing out the candles on top of her large devil's food birthday cake.

Michele and her friends were treated to a five course meal from The Kitchy Kitchen, owned by Claire Thomas, as Us Weekly reports. The courses included a kale salad, cauliflower brie soup, roast garlic crostini with sautéed mushrooms and herbs and a main course of Mexican Coke carnitas or burrata roasted tomato lasagna. Thomas also uploaded a picture on Instagram with Michele the next day and said how much she had enjoyed cooking for her, adding "I hope you had a fabulous birthday and had a slice of cake for breakfast."

Michele certainly had a great day and tweeted her thanks for the love and best wishes she had received. On Twitter she wrote "So much birthday love today... Makes me so happy... Thank you all for making this day so extra special!"
This is the second birthday for Michele since the death of her long term boyfriend and Glee co-star Cory Monteith. Only last month Michele and her other co-stars were forced to remember Monteith's untimely death as, on 13th July, it was a year to the day.
