LCD Soundsystem star JAMES MURPHY made his final TV performance before his impending retirement in America on Monday night (14Feb11) when he chatted with funnyman Stephen Colbert and performed I CAN CHANGE.
Murphy recently stunned the music world when he revealed his plans to stop recording and performing and dedicate his time to producing and running his own record label.
And prior to his final show at Madison Square Garden in New York in April (11), he agreed to appear on Colbert's show The Colbert Report to explain his reasons for walking away from "moderate" success.
He told the host, "It seemed like the right thing to do. I'm 41, and, at a certain point, I think it gets embarrassing."
And Murphy also has big plans for what he wants to do next: "I had a life before and there's a lot of things I wanna do... I like making coffee."
