The transgender actress has become a role model for many over the past few years after finding success on the hit prison series, and now she is hoping to inspire others by baring all in the U.S. beauty magazine's latest issue.

However, Cox admits she turned down the offer several times before finally agreeing to strip off.

She tells Allure, "Black women are not often told that we're beautiful unless we align with certain standards. Trans women certainly are not told we're beautiful. Seeing a black transgender woman embracing and loving everything about her body might be inspiring for some folks. There's a beauty in the things we think are imperfect. It sounds very cliche, but its true."

Other stars who have peeled off for the issue include Furious 7 beauty Jordana Brewster, Vikings star Katheryn Winnick, Shame actress Nicole Beharie and Sandrine Holt, who appears in upcoming blockbuster Terminator Genisys.
