Laurie Metcalf, the American actress and star of 'Roseanne', is to end her marriage to actor Matt Roth after six years together. Laurie's husband filed for divorce on 12th September 2011, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, reports People Magazine.
The 47-year-old actor is also seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple's three children Will, Donovan and Mae. Roth is Metcalf's second husband following her marriage to 'Grey's Anatomy' star Jeff Perry between 1983 and 1993 - the couple are parents to actress daughter Zoe, who began her career on Roseanne. Laurie played the title character's sister on the award winning sitcom between 1988 and 1997 - winning three Emmy Awards for her performances. More recently, she appeared as Sheldon Cooper's mother on 'The Big Bang Theory' and as 'Carolyn Bigsby' on 'Desperate Housewives'. Her movie credits include 'Uncle Buck', 'Scream 2', and as 'Andy's Mom' in all three of Pixar's 'Toy Story' movies.
Metcalf's husband Roth most recently starred in the 'Grey's Anatomy' spin-off series 'Private Practice', following the hectic life of neonatal surgeon Addison Montgomery. He has also made appearances on 'Nip/Tuck' and 'Two and a Half Men'
